Tcd And Air Atlanta

I'm paying quite a bit of attention to the flight times as we go in 6 weeks. The 10am arrival in Manchester this morning is due in at 6am tomorrow morning :confused3

i can see some of the things in this thread stopping people looking forward to their trips which isnt very fair

at the end of the day what happens happens you cant stop it, just handle it as it comes

I have flown with TCD and not had any problems. The crew were great, the flights on time. OK, the aircraft was a little older than some, but it all worked and had good leg room.

Just booked today with them for July next year after reading the boards and talking to friends who have flown with them. Did so with our eyes open, we will take them as we find them :)
They do have issues to resolve, but with such a small operation, delays will happen.

There are two flights due in to Manchester this morning that are non-TCD, both will arrive tomorrow morning. It is pot luck and of course the big boys like BA and Virgin do have far easier backup resource.

Those two flights are the same one but with two different flight numbers. It is TCD/Air Atlanta. Just about 26/27 hours late.

Intresting, there is a TCD flight listed as arriving at Sandford from Lansing Michigan

errrr, well, someone asked people for their opinions & experiences and they are being given - you don't have to read them!

I posted information on how punctual all the airlines are in this thread. TCD has the worst punctuality record overall, with British Airways the best of the UK airlines flying to Orlando and Sanford.

Some more news on TCD flights....

The 15:00 Monday flight to Sanford from Cardiff is delayed until 10:00 Tuesday, thats a 19hour delay!! Whats going on Travel City?

This has got me worried now, I am due to fly out on the 15:00 flight in one week (08 August). I really hope that we don't get a delay like this!

There is little or no point worrying, the delays may be this wek and not next week, The averge delay appears to be about 110 mins according to that stats Rob posted.

I have to say thoiug, the Gatwick flight that was due to leave yesterday lunchtime is due to land in a few hours at sandford.

sorry mushumadness  .

it was only for delay info and now its turned into an epic.come back all is forgiven<war n peace>.

well people have looked and comented mushumadness

Hi Rob
I checked your link and I must admit it looks bad for TCD / Air Atlanta But MY Travel must be far worse if you include the Jan figures?

i am here, just a little on edge, I am pinning alot on this years trip, and Im desperate for it to go ok

Muchmadness i am totally with you! we will be taking our ds for the 1st time this sept and he will only be 11 months old. i am now thinking we are either very brave or very silly!!!

We will not be able to make any return trips for a good few years as this was booked using the last of my savings and we had to book the cheaper flights with tcd to enable us to go.

crossed fingers ect

Those are average figures for all the airlines, and as they operate relatively few flights at that time of year it is possible that just one or two significantly delayed flights distorted the average for the month. In the case of My Travel although the statistics do look very bad I think it was one very long delay (30+ hours) which dragged down the average figure for January, and the majority of My Travel's passengers that month did not have an extraordinary delay (for the statistically minded it is the difference between mean and mode). It's best not to draw too many conclusions from just one month's data, especially if they are based on a small number of flights.

i think everyone wants their holiday to go well. this for some is a once a year thing or even once in a lifetime. its planned and orchestrated down to the tee. no one wants to be delayed for hours at a time when they are meant to be having fun. especially when there are children who will get bored, hungry, irritated, the list goes on. plus you spend alot of money on these things and expect value for it. or at least to get what you have paid for.

rant over.

hope everyone traveling with tcd has the holiday they expect/want. and if you dont then i hope you put in a claim/complaint. if people dont complain then nothing will change.

love
