A few members of my family have asked me to order them some silver mary jane crocs. I was going to use Taylor shoes has anyone used them lately? Do I have to pay import duty on the purchases and if so is it just VAT or is there a processing fee. TIA:thumbsup2

Hi,

I used them at the beginning of may to order DH caymans and DS croclings, they came in about a week and I didn't pay any import duty, but this might differ depending how many you order. I paid £45 for both pairs delivered, so I thought it was a great price. It looks as though the shipping costs don't go up much for additional pairs, but not sure about how much import duty would be if you had to pay it.

Hi Elise ,
I am waiting for my croc'sto come from Taylor shoes & the postage i choose was the first class international.
I have recieve an email which said that they are on way & should get them within 7-21 days :woohoo:

Thanks Goofysmate

I have some too on order and I had an email nearly 2 weeks ago saying they had been sent - just getting a bit impatient :rolleyes1

Elise - waiting for her lavender crocs :rolleyes1

Hi, my shipping was $28.50 but I see on the site they've altered the shipping choices, I could only choose the second and third option, the $20 wasn't available. They did quote 7-21 days. Did they give you a tracking number?

Lynn

got one on the first email when i placed the order.
Have just looked but nothing on the second email which only said that order had been dispatched.;)

Yes - i have a tracking number which I used and they were last tracked on 24 May leaving the US. I used the second option on the shipping.

I was going to see if they arrived tomorrow if not I was going to email Taylors as the option I paid for included insurance.

Thanks

Elise

Mine was the 26th may. i'll give it a few more days before i contact them.

Mine were despatched on the 21 May and left the US on 24th!!

Nothing since! The tracking number works on the Parcelforce site so I emailed them and they said that it hasn't been received in the UK by them

Lynn - how were yours delivered postman or parcelforce?

Elise

Ordered 5 pairs about a month ago. They were dispatched quickly, and the shipping costs were quite low, but got stung by Parcelforce for customs and ended up paying an extra £21.00 for customs and service charge.

Don't think this is the general rule, think I was just unlucky! Still, at least I have fab new Crocs in styles I couldn't get in the UK. :goodvibes

Unfortunately, this may explain the hold up that other people are experiencing. Hope not, though.

Sara. :)

Elise

Mine were by the postman, but the box wasn't as big as I expected. I'd give them another couple of days with last week being a bank holiday in the uk the post can be held up sometimes.

Lynn

I've ordered from them twice. The 1st time 2 pairs and they arrived quite quickly and didn't pay import duty. The 2nd time I ordered more as a group of us were ordering together, this time it took longer as they got stuck in customs. I had to pay duty on them before they would dispatch them from customs.

UPDATE

My crocs seem to have reappeared on the tracking systems as they were finally tracked as reaching the UK TODAY :cool1: 6 working days after they were tracked as leaving the US - I have no idea were they have been but I should them in the next day or two

Elise

Oh I forgot to say, for my 2nd pair according to the tracking system they were delivered to an address in Austria!! I obviously don't live in Austria and they arrived as soon as they had been cleared from customs after payment.

Have yours arrived yet. :confused3

Hi Jill

Yes mine arrived yesterday and I love them

I have now ordered another pair of Caymans - Cotton Candy this time and a pair of Black and White Sassaris for work :rolleyes1

DH thinks I could have waited till we go in September but I pointed out that if I wanted to get any wear out of this year I need them now :goodvibes

Are you pleased with yours?

Elise
