Are there taxis available outside of the theme parks? We plan to have an ADR in DTD in the evening of our AK day, a taxi seems like it might be an easy option.

Thanks!!

Yes, there are generally taxis at each of the parks, with the exception of MK. For MK you have to go to the TTC first. At AK, the taxis are just beyond the tram pick-up location.

Would a taxi be best option to get to DTD timely? I'm not familiar with the bus system, so not sure if that would be quick & easy as well.

There are no buses that go between the theme parks and DTD, so yes, a taxi is generally the fastest method. Otherwise, you have to take a bus to a resort and then catch another bus (or boat, depending on the resort) to get to DTD.

You can use the MEars taxi estimator to get a rough sense of the cost. Mears and it's affiliates are the only cabs allowed to pick-up folks within WDW.

For MK, it's usually easier and faster to walk over to the Contemporary to get a cab than to take a boat or monorail to the TTC. It's perhaps a little more walking, though.
