Myself and DD travelling to POR 9th August can't wait but we are not hiring car we have tix to Disvovery cove, seaworld and universal and was wondering if anyone could tell me the approx cost of a taxi to any of these places from either port orleans or downtown as we can always get the boat there please help !!!

I found the taxi estimator to be a bit out last year so be prepared to add a bit on the safe side when you are budgeting. Have you thought about mears vouchers. It's like sharing an organised mini bus. You book a pick up time from your resort and can arrange a return pick with them before hand or ring them the same day giving them 2 hours notice that you want collecting. Lots cheeper than a taxi. Last year the virgin rep visited our hotel each moring so we just bought the vouchers from her but i'm sure you can book them direct from mears can't remember how much though. We're gonna use them from POFQ to SW and IOA/US. If you do want a taxi it's cheeper to go to DTD and pick one up there by PH.

From POFQ a shared shuttle costs about $18 per person round trip to US /IoA just ring Mears the night before you want to go and pay the driver cash . Just ring again 2 hours before you want to return from the parks. Easy and efficient. I guess the cost will be the same from Riverside and kids get a discounted price I think.
