Does anyone know if you can hire a taxi to take you from one place within WDW to another if you did not want to use the transportation system provided? For example order a taxi from SSR to MK etc. tia

Yes, you can. But in the case of MK, you are not going to be dropped off right at the MK. You would have to take the cab to either CR or TTC...then get over to the MK.
Otherwise, it works just fine.

Thank you that is helpful. I am disabled and I sometimes find the disney transport difficult as the buses can get full and there can sometimes be quite a wait! I cannot stand for long without a wheelchair so find it quite difficult to wait in line. If I do bring my wheelchair or scooter then not all the bus drivers move people in the disabled areas along so you can wait even longer at busy times! It might be easier to try other methods!

I just noticed that you mentioned SSR - if you're staying there than you might want to budget a bit of extra money, since its more out of the way than most other resorts. For example, MK to SSR will likely be somewhere between $25 and $30, including tip. Animal Kingdom to SSR would be about the same. DHS or Epcot to SSR would be more in the $15 to $20 range.

Thank you. Will do!

If your disability does not prevent you from driving then you may want to look into that. It may be less expensive to rent a car.

Maybe I should get a price before agreeing to the taxi ride I have seen a couple of people now recommend this. Thanks for all your replies!
