I found out yesterday that National messed up our mini-van resevation and we don't have a car for our trip starting next week(they are now quoting a price of 700 for the week!)

In general, we plan to use disney transportation because we are staying on site (al Old Key West), but planed to use a car for things like getting back from our dinner at Ohanas. (The parks should be closed byt he time we finish eating and we don't want to have to transfer through Downtown disney after we eat to get home.)

Has anyone taken cabs while staying at Disney? Are they easy to get, or are there long waits? Can I count on them at night, or am I better off simply changing my plans.)

Thanks for the help!

Provided you don't need a wheelchair adapted cab, there are plenty of cabs operating onsite. There will be fewer around once the parks close, but the bell stand ought to be able to get one for you.

(and you will be able to enjoy a bottle of wine!!)
