Taxis in Anaheim question

I'm attending a conference at the Paradise Pier hotel, but we're staying at the HoJo on Harbor Blvd. about 1.75 miles away.

Meetings start daily at 7:00 a.m.

How easy will it be for me to get a cab every morning around 6:45 a.m. to go that short distance? Will there always be one waiting nearby? Approximate cost?

Don't know about the cost, but just ring down to the front desk at the HoJo about 20-30 minutes prior, and they will arrange to have a cab there for you.

You can definitely ring down to our Front Desk staff. They would be glad to call a cab for you! [The cost would probably be around $10 each way.]

While I've got you on the line, can I rent a car locally, either at your hotel, or within walking distance? Hubby wants to go see a few sights but just needs the car for two or three days.

I'm not trying to beat Lorealle, I promise.

I know that there is an Alamo car rental in Downtown Disney. I think one of the other Harbor strip hotels (right across from DL entrance) has car rentals available. Seems like it was in front of Tropicana or Carousel. I'm sure Lorealle has more info.
