I was planning on asking this at the front desk when I check in on Saturday morning...but thought why not ask here as you all probably have a lot more experience and knowledge and it is always nice to go prepared.

Next Monday I have a maternity photo session in Epcot at 7:45am. I was told to go to the Beach Club Resort and then walk to the international gateway and meet the photographer there.

I am staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort and plan on taking a cab over to Beach Club. I've never had to take a cab before (I'm quite happy with the bus transportation) but in this case I think it's likely the only option that will get me where I want to be at the correct time (Epcot opens at 9am).

I would like to plan to arrive at Beach Club around 6:45...giving me time to easily make my way to where I need to go. I'm handicapped and walk with a walker...so I may need to stop for breaks along the way and want to make sure I have PLENTY of time so I am not stressed.

Given all that information...what time do I need to get a cab? Is this something I should arrange ahead of time or just go to the transportation desk and have them get me one the morning of? Will anyone be out there that early in the morning?

And one final question...do the cabs take credit cards? I know where I live it's law that they HAVE to take credit cards and even if there reader is "broken" they need to have an alternate method of accepting the cards...but I'm not sure if that's how it works anywhere else. I never carry cash on me so if I need cash I want to make sure I bring some with me (no debit card either).

Thanks so much for any help and/or advice with this!

Congrats on the pregnancy! You can take a cab right to EPCOT, no need to worry about walking all the way from the Beach Club!!! Yes you can pay with credit card, just let them know before you get in that you will be paying with a card. If the driver balks, don't get in!!

Have a great holiday and best wishes with the baby:thumbsup2

No, she will have to go to the beach club in order to get to the international gateway.

Just ask someone at bell services to call a cab for you - they're parked just out of sight. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes. You'll be able to pay with a credit card.

Thanks so much! This is what I thought but I just wanted to confirm...helps set my mind at ease. Thank you! :)

Or you can call Mears directly the day before and reserve/schedule the cab. They may even be able to pick you up at your building at Caribbean Beach, as we got dropped off right at our building at Caribbean Beach when we took a cab from Typhoon Lagoon. And we also got picked up at our building at Saratoga Springs when we took one to an early breakfast at the Grand Floridian.

DUH i missed the part of International Gateway (chalk it up to lack of sleep!) and was only trying to eliminate the extra walking since she mentioned the need to use a walker. Perhaps taking the boat (friendship launch?) while adding time to traveling, could help save some steps?? Just trying to help out a pregnant mom since i remember the struggles i had being mobile and i have no need for a walker on a regular basis.
