We expect to rely on Disney transportation for the most part, but there may be one or two occasions when we may want to get back to our resort from the park, or get to a park, faster than bus transportation will permit. I want to make sure I understand what to expect with the taxi situation:
1. Will there be taxis waiting by a taxi stand, at the resorts and at the parks? Or will we need to call in advance? How long should we expect to wait for a taxi? We are staying at the Polynesian.
2. Do most taxis have booster seats available? What about regular 5 point restraint car seats?
3. If we want a seat with two boosters, or a booster and a car seat, how does that impact taxi availability and wait times?
4. I have also considered buying two bumble bum boosters to take with us (inflatable boosters). But if many/most taxis are already equipped, then that extra expense won't be needed.
5. At time of travel, my younger child will be two months shy of 5 years old. She is not yet 40 pounds. She rides in a 5 point harness car seat at home, not yet a booster. Since we are talking about 2 15 minute drives on Disney property, I think I would feel comfortable putting her in a booster. But if many taxis have regular car seats, even better!
