So we have recieved the ME info and what not and while we are ok with using it to the hotel I don't know if we want to leave 3+ hours in advance on our date of departure. I am looking for rec about if Me is the best way to get to the airport. we are willing to spend money if need be, but if me is pretty good and the 3 hour thing isn't a bother i would rather not spend extra money.

Thank for any suggestions

If your flight is departing at a popular time on a busy travel day then it will be best to allow that 3-hour window and therefore use DME. Our flight left on a Saturday at 6:45 p.m., and our DME pick up was scheduled for 4:00 p.m. We were the one and only stop of the bus -- it was empty when it got to us, and went directly from our resort to MCO, three-quarters full.

There was a nice line at the airline check-in counter, followed by a HUGE set of lines at security. After that, we had airport food court food for dinner, not because we're weird and like airport food but because of the timing -- we didn't want to give our kids dinner at the resort at 3:00 p.m., and we couldn't wait until getting back to our house around 10:00 p.m. (we'd hope they'd be asleep by then!), so we fed them at the airport around 5:30-ish. BUT, the food lines were HUGE AND SLOW, bigger and slower than security. By the time we finished eating and walked to our gate they were already pre-boarding our flight. So as you see, we needed every bit of the 2 hours and 45 minutes we had from DME pick up to flight departure.
