taxi vs car rental

okay- many of you know we are staying at the dolphin- got a fantastic rate. going to do 3 days of US, SW, AND IOA.
maybe the 4th day for extra . 5th day is AK

to rent a car at dolphin the price for the smallest was
76.69 inc tax - now add on parking.

for any of you who have taxied- is the taxi 1 way generally less tha 25.00 ? if so, as we have adr's on site at disney and busses to get us there, then it would be cheaper to taxi for a few days vs the car rental, correct.?????
ANY AND ALL OPINIONS/INPUT WANTED- PLEASE HELP
it is just the two of us, no kids.

I haven't taxied but even if it is less than $25 one way wouldn't that be about $50 round trip? I would say that it would be cheaper to do the rental car. Even if it is the same or close I would still do the rental just for the convenience of it.

We have taxi'd lots! It isnt cheaper then $25.00 it is more. Last trip we did a day at MK from Portofino it was 35.00 with traffic. The least it would be is $30.00 each way. Here is a taxi extimator.

Mears does the share a ride thing and that is cheap it the schedule works for you.

Since you are not taking kids, rent the car, and park for free across the street in the TGIFridays lot. Here is what it looks like.

Rental car may cost more with the gas, but the convenience factor makes up for it. You can go anywhere you want, when you want.
