Taxi Question

Am staying at Pop and will need to get over to the Hilton at DTD in the mornings. I believe I will need to be there too early to rely on Disney bus service to DTD. Can I rely on a taxi being available at Pop in the mornings (this would be in September), or is it something I would need to call ahead for? Any estimates as to what it would cost? Also unsure how much I should tip.

Most of the time, there are taxis waiting at or near the WDW resorts. Alternately, you can have a cast member at the entrance to your resort summon one for you. The cab will arrive in a matter of minutes. Can't give you cost, but a 10-20% tip would be fine.

It's about 4 miles so the fare will be about $10.45 plus about $2.00 for a tip
