Taxi or renting a car

I was planning on taking a taxi from POP to the Premium Outlet and then going to the Publix grocery store across the street. But from the Mapquest map it looks like a difficult walk. Does anyone know if it actually is or not. Or should I go through the hassel of renting a car for the couple of hours? There are 3 families vacationing together - and 4 ladies who want to go shopping the evening we arrive. Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.

You can use a grocery service to get the food items you would need. www.gardengrocer.com is who we used. I don't know if renting a car for just going to the store is worth the hassle, that is your call. You will need to get to the Car Care Center or get picked up, drive the car, drop off the purchases, then gas it, if necessary, get back to where you rented it and then get back to your resort. A lot of the agencies also close in the evening, so you want to make sure you know what time they do. Depending on when you arrive it might be a bigger hassle than it is worth. Taxi might be the easiest thing to do.
