Staying at Orlando airport Hyatt for the two nights before cruise. There will be 4 of us going to Hollywood Studios from the Hyatt. Better to just grab a taxi or is it less expensive to reserve a limo? We don't need the grocery stopover or anything like that, so I'm thinking a taxi is less expensive. Please advise.

Thanks so much.

The last time we stayed at airport and didn't make advance arrangements to get to any parks was in 2007 so I assume prices have gone up a lot since then. We arrived around noon the day before a cruise and asked how much a taxi would cost to MK. Back then it was $50 each way + tip. We wished we made advance plans to rent a car or just arrive later so we weren't so bored. Now we know better. If we have more than 2 hours to kill, we make plans in advance.
When you say a limo do you mean a stretch or just a car service? Happy Limo offers a coupon on mousesavers.com
Someone with recent taxi experience hopefully can help. I find that most taxi drivers drive like a loon so I avoid that whenever possible.
Are you against renting a car and driving yourself there? From the Hyatt it would be very simple & the cheapest way. If you go the rental car method, regardless of the company you choose, I would sign up for their membership so you can avoid the counter. Many will then let you go straight to the garage to get the car. :goodvibes It's an easy walk from the Hyatt.

Thanks. I did not know that about the car rental. If I can get the car at the airport that resolves my concern about the long lines we always have at the MCO car rental places. For one day, the hassle didn't seem worth it, but registering as a member might be a good workaround.

It's free to join so why not? Well, I guess if you have a strong aversion to entering your info online. (cc, DL#, etc.)
We belong to Budget's Fastbreak program & Alamo's Insiders, Dollar, & Thrifty's too though I have yet to use them. We had a car booked then later plans changed so I cancelled. Avis & National's programs are also very convenient. Very nice when you're in a hurry to squeeze a lot into a short amount of time. You can just walk past all the people in line at the counter.
