My sister will be spending a day at the Magic Kingdom during our upcoming visit to Orlando. How difficult is it to get a cab from MK when you are done with the excitement for the day?

You would not be able to get a cab right at the MK, you'd have to go to one of the resorts nearby or to the TTC to get a cab.
The fastest would problably be to walk over the Contemporary and get a cab from there.

Thank you for the info.

Now--what is the TTC, and do the town cars come to the MK to pick up? Oh, and will a cab drop them off at MK in the morning?

The TTC is the ticket and transportation center, it is the parking area for the MK and for transfers on the monorail to go to Epcot. I do not know if Town Cars go to the TTC, I know that town cars drop you off and pick you up at your resort, I'm not sure why they would go to the TTC.
Where is your sister coming from?? Is she coming directly from the airport? Or is she coming from a hotel off site, if so the cab could drop her off at the TTC and she can take the ferry or the monorail to the MK.

Thanks. She will be coming from a hotel off Disney property. If for some reason she can't get her single day tickets before she arrives, I assume she can get them at TTC? What are the lines like first thing in the morning? Can you park there in the evening if you just want to buy your tickets for the next day?

There are ticket booths at the TTC, but I can not answer your questions about lines etc because I've always stayed onsite and not taken my own car.

I don't know about the lines at the TTC either. I can tell you that if she drives to the TTC the evening before to buy tickets she will have to pay for parking.
Also, so there is no confusion, absolutely no traffic other than Disney buses are allowed anywhere near the Magic Kingdom entrance. All other traffic must go to the TTC. As someone suggested earlier, if she takes a taxi it's easiest to go the the Contemporary and walk or monorail over to the MK.
The walk is about seven minutes.
