Taxi from Poly to AK

How early do we get a taxi to AK for an 8am Wild Africa Trek? It is me and my 8 year old daughter. She still uses a booster seat in the car at home. Can she ride in the cab without one, or do we need to request something special when booking the cab? Thanks in advance!

I would play it safe and take the bus - every once in a while the AK lot opens late.

Be at the bus stop by 7:00.

If you really want to take a cab, I would leave by 7:15. Your daughter is not legally required to be in a booster seat in Florida.

You will hear that buses start running 1 hour before park opening, but that's not true. Buses start running around 6:30 every morning.

Thanks, good to know. When I booked it, the cast member told me I'd need a cab for the early tour, that buses likely would not be running. But I know that sometimes the CMs on the phone do not always have the most accurate info.

It is a few years ago now, but we took a cab from the BC to AK for an 8 AM Wild Africa Trek. When we arrived at the AK the parking lot was not yet open. We sat at the toll booth - meter running - for a few minutes before we were allowed in.

Thank you, that is good to know. Bad enough to have to take the cab, even worse when it costs extra for sitting!
