Taxi from one park to another??

I think I read somewhere that it would be easy to get a WDW taxi from one park to another. IF this is true, have any of you tried this? I remember that it was specifically stated to make sure the taxi was from WDW as it would only cost about $15. A taxi from elsewhere would be big $$$. I am trying to avoid huge crowded waits and hours of transfer time for my DH. He gets very grumpy if he has to schlep from one place to another. (My other "kid", but older and harder to handle. )

How would I get such a taxi??

1) Metered Yellow cabs are about $10, plus tip.
2) They are available at park bus pickup areas (TTC for MK),
