Hi

I will be going to orlando in december and will not be driving.
I am not too keen on the hotel shuttles to the theme parks and instead would like to take a taxi to save time as I am staying on international drive.

Obviously getting there will not be a problem I just wondered how hard it would be to arrange one coming back. Is there a taxi service operating within walt disney world?

Also reagrding transportation-do you have to be dropped off/picked up at the magic kingdom and take disney transport to the other theme parks?

thanks for all your help

You can get taxi service to/from each park - you don't have to use the TTC as your jumpoff point except for the Magic Kingdom... speaking of which, while a taxi can get you pretty close to the entrance of three parks, for the MK you HAVE to transfer at the TTC.
Mears is the official taxi company of Walt Disney World.
There's a taxi fare calculator in this http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=962377 thread. Remember, rates are approximate and do NOT include traffic delays or tips. Is there a particular reason you won't rent a car?

Ronda,

You can be dropped off at the MK in the MK handicapped area by taxi or prepaid car service. Also a Mears taxi stand is set up in the Handicapped area to pick up those looking for a taxi and the prepaids. As you look out into the parking area from the MK ticket gates the handicapped area is about 50 yards in your 2:00 position.
