We are going to be at the WS near closing and don't want to walk all the way back to the front of Epcot.

Wonder if anyone has an idea how much a taxi will cost from the WS exit at Epcot to the campground.

Or are there any buses from there?

You could take a bus from the Beach Club to MK and then get on the boat to the fort. Only issue would be if you left a golf cart in the parking lot by the bus depot.

Even from the World Showcase exit, you have a ways to walk before you reach a bus stop or taxi terminal. Me, i would go out the main gate at Epcot still. Or you can wait for a boat at the WS gate to take you to one of the Epcot hotels. But its another delay.

On the map the campground looks really close to Epcot but it seems impossible to get there.

If it's that hard to get a cab, we'll probably just take the monorail.

Ok, thanks anyway.

OK???? I'm confused. How does taking the monorail help to make return trip to FW easier?

Nothing makes it easier. I just want to take a taxi and would love to know how much it might cost.

We are going to be ending our day at WS so would like to exit from there. Since I don't believe there are any buses from that area to FW, I thought if it wasn't too expensive and we're going to be exhausted after walking since rope drop, a taxi would be a nice option because I had read about it somewhere else.

Most direct route would be going out the front of epcot and taking the bus. If you take the monorail, you'll have to transfer to another mode of transportation to get back to fort wilderness.
If you want to get a cab, you would have to walk out the WS exit and then walk to the beach club and through the resort to get to the parking lot where you could get a cab. Just doesn't sound like you'll be saving yourself much walking to try to get a cab.
Maybe ask on the transportation board for an idea of what it would cost.

WS out to bus loop, bus to FW

WS out to parking lot of Beach Club, pay for cab back to FW = walking distance only slightly less than first option plus $$$. A cab could be faster though.

OP: If you have not entered or exited from World Showcase it is hard to envision what it looks like. It is nothing like the other entrances. I pulled up the below map on Google and then added the below labels. Hopefully this helps you out.

I would estimate the cost of a taxi from Beach Club to FW to be about $15-20. I am not certain if the taxi could take you all the way to your site/cabin or if you would be dropped off at the Outpost.

Thanks. This is all very helpful.

I remember how the monorail got in the mix -- my daughter wants to ride it so we figured we'd get home that way but dropped that plan when we decided we will ride it the day we arrive just for fun.

I didn't realize it was so far to taxis from the WS so it really does seem like the best plan is to walk back out to the front and take the bus.
For some reason I thought we would have to transfer buses making it all very complicated when we've not been there since the '80s.

If it is just one bus, I think we'll be ok.

Blemon, We were at Epcot last Dec.,/January. We had our grandkids with us, so after Illuminations, we walked to the Beach Club, went outside to their check-in area, and they called for a taxi. The price was 17.00 without tip. This was for a van, and our party consisted of four adults and three children.
