Taxi Costs inside WDW

Does anyone know an average on what a cab ride would be inside WDW? We have a few early morning reservations and I am thinking about budgeting for a cab rather than having to worry about am transportation issues. Looking from CBR to either the Poly, GF, DTD and possibly the outlet mall? Are cabs easily obtained at the resorts or the parks?
Thanks!

Cabs are easy to get - just have bell services call one up for you.

You can look up taxi fare at taxifarefinder.com

I would use the mears transportation fare calculator. It's the taxi service Disney recommends.
An example:
Magic Kingdom to Epcot-$18.90
The fares have gone up A LOT. The same fare was about $10-$12 a couple of years ago. Seems prices went up when gasoline prices were higher but no adjustment was made for when the price dropped.
Sorry, forgot to post the link:

If you use the promo code First3Rides5 on the Uber app you will get $5 off each of your first three rides. I think once you add it to your account it's good until the end of this year.

You're probably not wanting to do any of your own driving, but FYI -- Orlando seem to have lots of great deals on rental cars. If I have a few times that I need a taxi, sometimes I'll get the rental car instead for practically the same cost. But then, I don't mind driving in WDW or Orlando and like the flexibility. // In your case too you're taxi rides aren't all that far or expensive. I'm usually going further so mine would be higher priced.

Cabs are always waiting at the front of Disney hotels in parking spots. Or bell can call you one. I would figure $20 each ride and if it is less than you will be happy.

You can also rent a car onsite. Disney will pick you up and you can rent at the car care center or the Dolphin. Check the transportation link for codes for your month of travel and an idea of what people are paying. Parking at resorts is free

Wow I can't believe how the fares have increased! What is the average Uber fare? Is it that much cheaper?

You can go to the Uber website and get a quote. I figure about the longest trip you can take at Disneyworld is from Animal Kingdom to the Magic Kingdom resorts. The Uber quote is $9-$12. Not sure why the cab companies are charging people double.

taxifarefinder.com tends to be more accurate (and easier to use.)

Uber charges people less because they skirt around the laws that taxi companies have to comply with.

Which law are you referring to? I can't tell from clicking on the link? I do understand that many people are extremely upset at Uber for upsetting the apple cart. There are many investors that have made millions by investing in taxi medallions and have been taking advantage of taxi drivers and passengers for years. These people are leeches on society and are extremely upset that their investments are shrinking before their eyes.

The background checks are much more limited than what are required for taxi drivers. Their vehicles are not subject to inspections. Their drivers are not given training. Their liability is extremely limited. They don't have to comply with ADA regulations.

This article gives a pretty good overview of the various issues: http://america.aljazeera.com/blogs/...s-practices-fall-short-of-written-policy.html

Not to hijack the thread, but, curious:

Are there routinely cabs outside of the parks waiting? I have a tight timeline and want to hop from AK to DHS, and was thinking a cab would be the fastest way.

There are always cabs at the taxi stands outside of the parks.
