Taxi Cabs in WDW/DTD/BDwalk

I am just wondering do allow cabs into the parks and disney areas?
On the last day of my trip I am planning on doing downtown disney and the boardwalk from the morning until mid afternoon when I need to leave to catch our flight. I am staying offsite and the hotel does have a shuttle I am just not sure how often, when, or to where other than the main parks it runs. So if I would like to stay until 230 or 3 and my shuttle has no close pick ups or times, I am just wondering if cabs are an option for me?

There are plenty of cabs in the DTD area and really at any of the resorts. You should have no problem getting a cab

If you're going to the boardwalk just have the cab deliver you to the Boardwalk Inn...walk through the lobby and down the steps to the boardwalk.
