Anyone else having a hard time with taxes due to deployment? I did ours last week with the free military offer from Turbo Tax and it seems as if we owe over $3,000
I'm having a hard time believing this is accurate because DH was deployed for all but 3 weeks in 2005 and was tax exempt. When I do my taxes separately I end up getting back almost $1,000, but adding in his we end up owing. Most of his income shows up properly on his W-2, but it's also reporting $10,000 as taxable income that was never taxed. I have no idea what this could be as his re-enlistment bonus was also tax exempt since he signed in a combat zone. There was no way he made $10,000 in the 3 weeks he was stateside! He already went to command, but they haven't been much help. Anyone else have tax issues or have any advice to give?
Thanks!

We actually had taxes taken out of it, but then we were reimbursed the following pay period. I still can't for the life of me figure out what that 10K is. It's really strange that it's an even number too. Exactly $10,000.00
