Does anyone know the tax rate on food at WDW? Thanks.

6.5% for most WDW locations. All Stars and Wide World of Sports have a 7% rate. They are in a different county.

I wanted to know about this to,This will be my first time at WDW and I do have the free dinnig, but have many breakfast ressies that I will be paying out of pocket for,and wondering how much is the tax in WDW Flordia:lmao: is there a surcharge,I am just somewhat lost on this situation,so would I be correct to say that when I eat at Crystal Palace for breakfast one adult and a 2yr old my bill should be 18.99 tax 1.23 for a total 20.22 before tip,and when I eat at Boma for breakfast 16.99 tax 1.10 total bill before tip 18.09, just wondering if this is correct.;)

The basic Sales Tax rate in Florida is 6.0% and is on most goods and services. The counties have an option, by vote of their residents, to add a surtax of 0.25%, 0.5%, 1.0% or 1.5% to the state rate.

Orange County, which is most of WDW has a surtax of 0.5%, so purchases (including meals) are taxed at 6.5%.

Osceola County, which has the All-Stars Resorts and Wide World of Sports in it, has a 1.0% surtax so purchases at those locations are subject to a 7.0% tax.

In addition, counties are allowed to have a tax on transient lodging. In both Orange and Osceola Counties it is 6.0%, so all lodging except the All Stars is 12.5% while the All Stars, in Osceola County, is 13.0%.
