Tattoos

I have two. A bird I got when I was 19 and a butterfly when I was 25 (I'm 30 now). Neither of them really are inspired by anything other than that moment in time. I like both of them, but they're small and on my back area so the only way I ever see them is in the mirror. I don't regret them because they've never prevented me from getting a job or something like that. People always told me "I hate tattoos. Can you imagine what it's going to look like when you're 85?" I think I'm going to have bigger things to think about and life reflections to concern myself with at 85 than how my skin looks.

Lol, too funny! I was reading the posts to me DBF and came to the comment from a PP about what people will think about how it looks when you're 90, and my oomment to him was "well, since I probably won't even remember who I am at 90, I probably won't remember what tattoos I have on my body! And even if I do, I'm surely not going to want to look at my own body very much, so I can't imagine anyone inspecting my sagging, wrinkled skin and forming an opinion about it either!" He just said that he will still love my skin though ;) Seriously, at 90, I'm sure, the only people looking at my body will be loved ones, doctors and nursing home staff to change my diapers and bathe me...are any of them really going to care what I have inked on me???

I have 4, and plan on having more done.
1st was at 16, my brother passed away and I have a cherub in his 2 fav colors with his name and dob-dod on my left shoulder blade, it's about 5-6 in by 3-4 in
2nd was at 18 and was done while I was at home after boot camp, my bff and I got matching Mickeys on our right ankle, it's about 3 in by 1.5-2 in
3rd was started at 26 and isn't finished yet, it is a back piece, beech tree with 2 fairies in the branches, the tree goes from my neck to my waist and from side to side on my rib cage, and extends up onto my shoulders, my cherub was incorporated into the branches as well, the fairies are about 8 or 9 inches and wing span is like 6 or so, they are sitting in the branches. Oh yeah, I have a hidden mickey in the trunk of the tree! It's not finished and the fairies were done to represent my 2 DDs, and now I have another little princess, so I will be incorporating her into that piece as well, there is a lot more that I want to have done to my back.
4th is a pin-up girl on my right thigh, it basically covers my whole thigh.
I also want to have a portion of a song lyric put somewhere, haven't decided where yet, and on my inner wrists 2 phrases, I will be getting all 3 of my girls' names, and something to represent my DBFs son, don't know what yet, and maybe 1 or 2 more :confused3 I haven't quite decided how many I will get before I stop...they can be addicting!I can't get anymore work done until I quit nursing my DD tho, so I have a some time to decide exactly what I want to do next! My tattoo artist is AMAZING, so I really don't have to do a whole lot of thinking, he's just that talented lol! pixiedust:
