I don't know if this has already been posted somewhere but maybe they're shutting down Tarzan Rocks at AK because they're opening Tarzan the Musical next March on BROADWAY! AWESOME!! You could go to Broadway and see Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and now Tarzan! Aw yeah!

Yes we're very excited here in NYC that Disney will be opening Tarzan on Broadway. Right now they are having a casting call for an 8 year old boy to play young Tarzan. Can't wait to see this new production.

Sounds great. I have been saying that Tarzan or the Hunchback would make a great choice for a Broadway musical.

I'm putting together a class trip for my musical theatre students and I'm hoping we can get Tarzan! If not, I'm definitely getting tickets for me and DH! It's going to be AMAZING!

hehe, yay, people know about this!!! (I work for the 3 Disney Broadway shows and I'm so glad that this news is out!!)

And just to let you know, it's selling out like mad...book while you can

Where can we purchase the tickets?

Only groups are on sale right now. Single tickets go on sale Nov. 20th.

If you have a group you can call Disney Group Sales. The number's on the disneyonbroadway.com. Ask for me!!! (Jarrid). ;) (I'd give you the number but i think that goes against SPAM policies)

That will be cool! We will have to wait for the touring version (that is how we saw Beauty and the Beast and Lion King). I suppose that will take several years though....but it will be nice when we do get to see it!

Okay back up here. I usually do not visit this board that often so are you people saying they are closing the Tarzan show at AK!! They keep closing shows and now opening new ones to take their place!! I miss the Hunchback and before it Pocahontis now Tarzan!! I hate the Lion King show at AK but that will be all that is there for live entertainment (I do not consider the bird show LIVE entertainment).

Jarrid,
I called and spoke with you last week concerning a group trip to Tarzan on Broadway (what a small world). When I called back to set a specific date you were unavailable. I have a request in for a group next October. Just waiting on the word so see if it's a go! I hear the first few months are already impossible to get. I would like to get single tickets earlier but I don't know what's going to be left by Nov. 20th. :earboy2:

I got 3rd row Orchestra CENTER for Apr. 29th 8pm... SO excited... I hope I am not too close!
I used the Disney Visa pre-sale code SO EXCITED !

:cool1: I just ordered ours for May 27th 2:00pm show. We are in row F right of orchestra. I had to check each Saturday and this was the best I could get for that time. We have seen The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, so I know this is going to be excellent. It will also be my DD's first Broadway show. :teeth:

Did I ever get back to you? Sorry - I haven't been on this board in a while.

[actually, i believe you got seats  if so, great!]

It's true. I just received an e-mail for Disney Visa cardmembers - to buy tickets before they are made public.

I live in New York and love going to Broadway. I have been saying this since I saw the animated Disney Tarzan. The music will be great for broadway. Phil Collins name appears on the playbill, so you know it will be great.

I can't wait to see Tarzan on Broadway! But, I expect, it's going to be very difficult to get tickets.

I can't wait to see this! :) being a disney lover and a theatre geek, this is great!

The theatre company I'm involved with is trying to get group tix. hopefully they get them! :)

I also got the e-mail about the presale. I was just wondering, is there any difference in the *Preview* performances that start in April then when it officially opens the end of May? I would get tickets for a show in April, but I would hate to find out later something silly like it wasn't the *full* show. I know it's probably a stupid question, but any help would be appreciated! :earsboy:

Thanks!!!
