Tartar Sauce with CINNAMON in it?

Another post made me think of this.

The family was at a restaurant last week when I ordered the Beer Battered Cod. The tarter sauce tased "off" to me. When I asked the waitress to replace it with fresh tartar sauce, she said she would, but that it would probably taste the same because the chef calls cinnamon his "secret ingredient".... YUCK!

Cinnamon? Maybe a little bit of sugar, but cinnamon?

Eeewwwww! I would have then asked for some mayo, pickle cubes and lemon juice to make my own.

a mexican restaurant we like puts cinnamon in their rice and some of their other dishes. I don't like it at all. I know it's authentic but yuck.
