Target Savings Thread

Just back from target and some good deals to post:
I wont include my receipt because I did get quite a few non-sale items (sunscreen, towels, diapers, etc)...

Teddy Grams. With the manu coupon and the target coupon they had big bags of honey teddy grams for .02 cents after coupons
http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/Budget/whysnackrifice/whysnackrifice.aspx

If you like the chocolate (DH does).... they were .50cents a big box ($1 for 2 boxes)

Take the target .75 cent cleaning coupon from target.com (grocery coupons) and use it on the sponges. Makes 2 target brand cleaning kitchen sponges for .25cents.

Chex mix-- some stores have this on sale- some dont. I was able to get the bold party mix for $1 a big bag.... and they had the dark chocolate big bags for .50cents after target coupon (coupon found on target generator)

The target body wash coupon (target generator) can be used on target baby wash... making it approx .40cents... give or take a little by each store.

Hmm... ill have to check out my receipt and see what other deals I have. Dh is calling- we are in the yard working so I better go help. Ill come back later and post more!

are these older coupons? I can't find them on the generator.....

Target has some Pull-Ups on clearance for $8.74 a package. With the $3 off coupon that was in the Sunday paper a couple of weeks ago that makes them a great deal!

Yumm....I love the mocha. Can you please explain this deal..I dont see it in the flyer. Thank you:woohoo:

Sigh... I just got off from a long shift and I am feeling a little feisty. I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but I feel the need to speak my peace... respectfully.

I am a cashier at Target. Been there 18 mos. I make a measly $7.50 an hour. I am personally a coupon clipper, and love when I get a great deal (hello manuf coupon + target coupon! sweet!) I am by all accounts a frugal shopper. But I am so so tired of being harrassed by guests who try to cheat the system with coupons and get downright rude to me. Bothers me more when they do it in front of their own young children. (and on a Sunday in their church clothes too!)

For example, the save $1.00 off Market Pantry fruit snacks was meant for the box of 8-10...not the little sack at checkout we sell for 89 cents. You and I both know that. You and I both also know that it doesn't *specify* that. So off you go, with 10 photocopied coupons in tow, and buy 10 individual baggies of fruit snacks. You tell all your friends to do the same. And brag at what a good coupon clipper you are. Now management is noticing a lot of coupons going through not as they were intended. So they make sure the cashier knows that it is one coupon per transaction. (Says so in the fine print) They'll deal with the loss for one, but not a whole pantry worth.

You ask, why does the cashier get on such a power trip? Why does she care? We care because our supervisor has us sign a paper that we agree to adhere to the coupon rule. We care because not only are we on camera, but each and every keystroke is recorded and anything "out of the ordinary" (like handkeying a *ton* of bogus coupons is noted. We care because we'd rather keep our job and our supervisor happy with us in this uncertain economy. Your attempts at "taking advantage" of free fruit snacks are not worth our job. Sorry.

And yes, sure, you could (and many do) scope out the registers for some new employee or young kid. Take advantage of the fact that they do not know or care. So they later get in trouble. And you know what? Enough people try to take advantage, and the good coupons disappear!

Granted it has been a long day. It is always fun to get a great deal. But please play the coupon game fairly. It will benefit all us consumers who love to use coupons in the long run. And if you are going to try to get a dozen identical "somethings" for "nothing" don't be a jerk to the cashier when you don't get your way.

If you can see my side of the story in any way, please share with the rest of your coupon buddies.

Thank You
OUch:scared:

Purell ~ Here is the link for Purell from the old thread flakypuff :) By the way thanks for all the work you do on the CVS thread! :) I don't know if the coupon is expired or not.

WOW that was fast. I was searching the thread for it and your post popped up:lmao: I am glad you are using the CVS thread. I just started checking out the Target thread and BOY o BOY I never knew I was missing all these great deals at Target:scared1: I have a pen and paper because I found some great things to check out...

I just purchased the $39.99 Limited edition Leapster 2 Star Wars set at Target, thanks to the person who posed it. I had a coupon from a while back that I had printed from the Leap Frog site for $10 off Leapster 2, so it made it $29.99 for the Leapster 2 set and the Jedi Math game, great deal:cool1:. Below is the link I printed mine from, I tried to print from it and it said there were none left. That may be because I printed them from this computer, but may not. The one I had expired today. If it doesn't work, I'm sorry, but $39.99 is still a good deal for the Leapster 2 and the game.

I posted that originally - glad you were able to find one! :goodvibes I went back on Wednesday and got the last one at my Target. There were no more prints on the coupon link - that would have been great though! I did check out the prices. I paid $39.98 for the Leapster 2 and the Star Wars game. Game was $29.99 and Leapster 2 was $59.99 instead of buying them seperately. DS4 doesn't know much about Star Wars but Daddy's a fan and I'm sure he'll be able to fill him in! :goodvibes I'm hoping they put out more at my Target. I'd like them to go 75% off, buy one of the cheaper ones then return the other one I bought.

We're in the middle of potty training and pull ups are so much easier to get on and off than diapers. I will have to look for these! Thanks!

Starting 5/3 target has their v8 fusion juice on sale for 2.99. If you go to myv8fusion.com (i believe thats the site) you can print a 2.00 off coupon. I was able to print 2. So you get them for .99 when they are regularly 3.99. My kids looove this stuff!

Well, I braved the swine flu and went to Target today. :rotfl: I got a few of the deals mentioned on here, like the 2 pack of sponges using the $.75 off coupon, the Target baby wash with $.75 off, and the glade candles. I found a few more deals too.

Neosporin is on clearance from $3.99, marked down to $1.98. I used a $1 MFR from the paper to get it for $.98.

I got 40 count band-aids for $1.6? and used a $1 MFR from the paper.

The cashier wouldn't let me use the $2 off the Purell b/c they cost less than the coupon. She also wouldn't adjust it down. Oh well.

One deal I found I could do b/c I forgot a coupon. They have their Mayo on sale for $1.99. They have a Target coupon for $1 off of 2. Then there is a MFR for a $1 off of 1. Use 2 MFR, 1 Target, and the final cost would be $.98 for 2.

I had the same problem when I tried to get the travel-size .99 ones. I found yesterday though on the regular hand sanitizer aisle that the next size up ones were price-cut down to $1.23, so I got 2 of those. Not exactly free, but still cheap - and I needed some new ones for the car anyway.

Great tip! I've been wanting to try this, but $4 was too pricey for me. $1 I can do!!

I just did the Special K deal which also turned out great. Wasn't going to go out shopping but again another great deal I can't turn down. ;)

The deal is buy 5 special K cereals or crackers and get a $5 gift card. Originally the cereal and crackers are $2.39 each but you can print out 5 $1 coupons so after gift card it ends up $0.39 each after coupon!

Find the coupons on this link: http://www.moneysavingmom.com/money_saving_mom/page/2/

While there I got another small bag of chex mix and two FREE apples (were 99 cents a pound and I bought 1.02 pounds and used $1/1 lb coupon.

Total cost for three boxes of special K crackers, 2 boxes of special K cereal, two apples, and a bag of Chex Mix after subtracting gift card: $2.02

I used the Glade gift card to pay the additional $5.

Just wanted to mention that i had a previous shopping trip and didnt mention it here, but I did get the glade deal with the $5 gift card (which i used this visit)... and some other notable deals that i didnt get today are:

Chex Mix- $1 target coupon (on the target.com website)... there is a dark chocolate mix for $1.49 (big bag)... so it would be .49 cents a bag. Or you could get the origional or bold mix for $1 after coupon (we love this stuff and its great to stock up on for vacations and long car trips;)

Nabisco Items/ Teddy Grams- There is the coupon on the generator for $$ off nabisco items... and that would make the teddy grams .10 or less (big resealable bag-- honey flavored).

Now on with todays shopping trip:
targettrip.jpg

4 packs of Target Brand Size 1 Diapers (Clearanced) $4.87 each for 56 diapers (This is a great price. They were on the end caps. They also had size 3s and 6's. The size 3s were 80ct for $9.00. They are clearanced because Target is doing away with old packaging and going for a new look. I dont mind the packaging of the old-- the baby doesnt care either-- so at this price, I bought all they had left in newborn!)

2 Ortega Taco Sauce Bottles (orig. $1.39each or $2.78 for 2, on rollback for $1.00ea) After coupon (.75 on any 2 which was in one of the Sunday ads) I paid a little less than .63 cents a bottle

2 Dry Idea Deoderants (on rollback for $2.00). The coupon has reset on coupons.com (SO you can reprint if you got this deal before, do it again x2)- FREE

1 V8 Fusion (orig. $2.99) with coupon from v8fusion site ($2.00 off)- makes .99 cents

1 Johnson & Johnson baby lotion (.97 trial size)- FREE + .02cents with this coupon (even if youve printed johnson and johnson product coupons before and think youve printed them all-- might try this one!
http://bricks.coupons.com/Run.asp?tqnm=rg1relb62954177

1 Starbucks Chocolate (orig. price $1.29- clearanced at register for .67 cents)- FREE + .33 cents overage with $1 off Starbucks chocolate in one of the previous Sunday ad's

2 packs of Extra Fruit Sensations gum- Clearanced at .52 cents ea (although the clearanced advertised price was .72 cents - nice surprise on my receipt)

1 Kitchen Scrub Brush- (orig. $1.29) after Target coupon on target generator for .75cents off any target cleaning product- .54cents

Total before taxes: 22.91 (And after that price i used the $5 gift card i got from the glade deal last time.... i feel like i stole everything, and at that price surprised i got 4 packs of diapers!)
