Has anyone used a target pharmacy 5% off recently on Disney gift cards? Does this still work. I finally earned one and need to buy $2500 in cards.

What. What? You can use your red card to get 5% off gift cards? Or is this the separate 5% off coupon from pharmacy (or both)?

We used our red card and pharmacy coupon to buy gift cards a few weeks ago. They take 5% off with the red card and then 5% of the balance after with the coupon. So not quite 10% off but worth it. We bought $2000 in gift cards to pay for our annual passes

Yup, Yup! Still works. I just bought $3250 worth of $50 Disney cards 2 days ago. (That's the most I usually buy because of the $3000 Target Red credit card limit). $3250 in cards cost me $2933.13 with 5% Red Card discount, then the 5% Pharmacy Rewards discount. I'll go online in a couple of days and pay-off the Target card balance. I've added up the number of cards that I've purchased since I learned of this perk...nearly 280 cards, which has saved me over $1300! :thumbsup2

According to my tracking spreadsheet, I should have enough cards in the safe to pay-off our April 2015 Bahamas & June 2015 Alaska cruises. Too bad the TA will only let me enter 10 per day! :lmao:

Can you use the gift cards on the ship? I was thinking about loading my DD's money she's saved onto a gift card for her to use. I know she'll want to buy something on the ship. I wasn't sure if you can use a gift card or if you have to bill it all to your onboard account.

You can take the gift cards to guest services, and they will apply them to your account!

What if you don't use all the credit? (Of course, this assumes that DD can restrain herself if she wants to buy something at WDW as well.)

Thanks! I was wondering after all of Black Friday coupon uproar if target had changed their policy.

It goes back onto the card. As I understand it, you can use Disney gift cards in the stores on board though.

Yes, they will credit back to the original gift card
So be sure to keep your gift cards.

Though some people have noted that they lost or got rid of the GC...and they were able to get a new GC issued with the refund amount. Though they noted it was a real pain to do.
Can't does from experience in this. Read the above from another forum here on the dis. Were a good number of people posted the same experience.
