I found the deal online today, and was excited to not have to go out tonight. However, when you put it in the cart it comes up at $235. I called and they said "The price is right. We are giving you the money back, but in the form of the $40 gift card you can use at a later time". Huh? I said "So, I am paying for the free gift card?" He said, "Yes!". What? :confused3

I bought the Nook last weekend for $99 and got a free $30 gift card with purchase. I didn't pay $139 and then get a gift card!? That makes no sense to me.

Does it makes sense to anyone else? I'd much rather buy it online...or at the very least know I will be getting the right deal tonight. The Ipod for $195, with a $40 gift card!

Thoughts?

It really just depends on the deal the store is offering. Sounds like Target is saying your net cost (out of pocket at the end) is $195. Which is true, although perhaps not what you wanted or thought it meant.

The way you were interpreting it (which I understand), the iPod would have only cost you $155, which would be pretty low.

Just 5 minutes ago I put this deal in my cart and it showed $195 price and a separate $40 gift card. Great deal--if it would ship. I kept getting errors that this offer would not ship to my state. What is up with that?

ETA - OK - I got it! Seems that the ipad didn't work - but got my 'real' computer everything worked - Woot! And I got another $10 off for the red card!

Are you all using the 10% off coupon too? I was going to get it tonight.
Trading in old ipod: -$64
10% off:-19.50
5%debit card: -10.00

Net cost: 101.50 + tax

My 10% off coupon was only good in store. We debated and figured saving that amount wasn't worth going out at midnight, especially if it wasn't guarenteed we'd get one.

It worked for me. I got the 8 gb and it stated that my $40 gift card was shipping separately from the ipod. :thumbsup2

You just need to go to the website and look up what you want. Both BF deals I wanted, I was able to get online this morning. The last time I checked, the Touch deal was sold out online.
