Target-good deal on Wii

Just thought I'd let you all know...in case you are looking for a Wii...Target has an excellent deal on right now.....Wii with MarioKart game is $134 and you get a $20 gift card. I have been following Wii prices for months and this is the best deal I have seen!
Just thought I'd post in case it helps someone!

Thanks for the tip. I've been thinknig of giving one to my brother's family as a family gift for Christmas instead of buying everyone a gift...Guess I better make a decision.

i believe they are coming out with a new one, don't know exactly when yet. but you might see the prices drop b.c of that.

mine just died (casualty of hurricane irene) and my boyfriend told me to wait to replace it.

Wii U is the next generation Wii and is not expected to be released until mid-2012.... expectation is that this Christmas will be the last big time for Nintendo to dump the current generation Wii's to clean out the inventory for the next gen. You are likely to see some more significant discounts as we approach December 25th... Though you mentioned a very good deal... If you could sell the Mario Kart on craigslist you might almost get the Wii down to a $100.

One word of caution for people getting the Wii's is to look at what is included and then make sure you price in the additional hardware that you will need. I think the last Wii we bought only came with one controller and when you have two kids that are going to be playing you need two controllers and two nunchucks... so if you buy another controller and nunchuck that will be $40 plus $20 or $60 dollars more for a system two can play....
