Target Gift Card with Purchase delivery delay??

my sister ordered the XBox on line yesterday, came with a $60 gift card, she chose e-mail delivery and it said 4 hours to receive. Place the order ~ 10:30AM Eastern time yesterday. Called last night and was told they were very busy wait 24 hours. Still has not received the e-mail.Any one experience delay with GC delivery and did you finally get it?

I purchased something that came with a gift card on Wednesday. The e-gift card was in my inbox this morning immediately after the email from Target stating my item shipped.

It is emailed after shipping, not ordering. Just got mine after the xbox shipped.

Mine took nearly two days to arrive in email. It does say "4 hours after purchase," but that is not the case right now for sure.

Mine took 12 hours on wednesday and was emailed right after I picked up the item (did store pick up). That may have been a coincidence.

I called and asked about it after 8 hours and they sent me a $10 courtesy gift card.

For in-store pick-up, the card doesn't come until after you pick up the item.

When you select the delivery method it says right there that it is delivered within 4 hours of shipping.

Ugh this was so annoying. The Target website was very misleading along with confirmation email sent indicating that the gift card would be emailed within 4 hours. I completely understand waiting for the item to be shipped to email it but indicate that! I spent at least 40 minutes "chatting" and then having to call Target because I didn't get it. The "chat" people had no idea what was going on. The first indicated to wait a few more hours and the other said it would be sent with shipping but never apologized that there was a legitimate complaint because their website and email were misleading. Once I called the nice person explained it was a known issue and when I would get it, but it was really frustrating. I don't find Target.com to be a great experience.
