I just saw on target that they have E-mail Disney cards now and they don't have the "Can't buy with target gift card" disclaimer. has anyone tried it?

I gave it a try, but during checkout as soon as I checked the box to pay with a gift card, a notice appeared letting me know you can use a Target gift card to pay for this purchase. Oh well, having an e-gift option is interesting addition though.

Just tried to go through the checkout process and it would not let me use a Target gift card to pay. But I do like that they have e-gift cards now!

Curious if you can combine the e-cards? I saw a post somewhere that there was no PIN on the e-cards?

I would rather have them emailed than delivered. I once had our mail lady leave about $3,000 worth of gift cards sticking out of our mail box. And our mailbox is on the road. I went to the post office to complain and they just blew me off.

And when I mean sticking out a good chunk of them were maybe 50% of the way in. I could see the red and white packages from about 4-5 houses down.

this is handy IF the balance can be transferred. I know on the Disney gift card site the fine print said egiftcards balance can not be transferred. (Or added to DVA but that doesn't apply anymore)

Clarification... I had a gift card bought from the target store that I was able to transfer the gift card to. Not sure you would be able to consolidate egift cards to other egift cards. I think you would have to have a hard card to transfer to...

Did your e-GC have a PIN on it?

Curious...I wonder...
...if you buy a $50 Disney e-gift card and then add another $50 in merchandise for in-store pickup, pay with $50 in Target gift cards and rest on a credit card, then don't bother to pick up the merchandise...what will be charged for the $50 e-gift card? When you do in-store pickup, you aren't charged until you pick it up. Or, what if you DO pick it up and then return it? Would the refund go to your credit card or a gift card??

I just keep seeing the supply of physical gift cards dwindling in my local Target and I am trying to plan ahead for how I will use my FWP gift cards if they go to online e-cards only.

They'll cancel any online order that includes a gift card and was paid with a gift card.
