I know we had a thread similar to this a while back, but thought I would start another one but on this one we can post what Target has in this section. The dollar section chages so often at Target shether to seasonal or what not....

Right now at our Target we have some great buys that would be great for Christmas whether you want to make a basket, stuff a stocking or do a charity box or stocking. I picked some great wooden toys. They had some cool wooden games. I got a mini bowling set and a checkers game for my DS. Also had some replic cars. For DD I picked up a ring, earring, mirror for pocketbook and some confetti hand soap. They had some really neat "Chistmas" favored items that would be good for a basket or older girls stocking. Two ladies at the Target was cleaning out the store for these products to make baskets for various people. I was afraid they were going to grab out my two items and put them in their basket... :rotfl2: Seriously though their was some Christmas colored kitchen ultensils and one lady was making a basket with this an she was going to make up some per packaged homemade biscuits, pancakes and bread mixes for her basket. They also had some cookbooks she had picked up to toss in the basket. Another lady was grabbing up the plastic popcorn boxes (similar to what popcorn use to come in at the theatre and the jiffy popcorn and buying some of the latest DVD's for a basket for her grandkids.

They had some mickey and minnie mouse mini cards. Fluff topped pens with colored ink.

Lets try to keep this going as the time passes no just for Christmas.

I was there Friday and got some great stocking stuffers. I am making stockings for my mom, dad, sister, and BIL as well as my 2 neices/nephews and my DS and DH. Anyhow, I did really good there the other day.
I bought for the adults:
1 pot size flavored coffee's-- I got Mocha Chocolate, Chocolate Hazelnut, and Jack Daniels. I figured the guys might get a kick out of that one.
I got Hello Kitty hair and jewlery for my neice.
I got magnetic to-do notepads for the girls.
I also got makeup cases for them.
Also, got 3 pc Mrs. Fields chocolates.

I bought a Hello Kitty Notepad and pen set for DD.
Today I gpt 3 board puzzles with the knobs and 4 books for an Angel Tree child. :)

I cleaned out the Target dollar section in our area. We are doing a Santa Secret Workshop for our school and they had some great things for the kids to buy. I know the younger girls will especially love all the Hello Kitty items we purchased. Also bought the wooden toys, cars, games, cookbooks, jewelery, bubble baths, hand soap ets.

Did anyone see the foaming bath salts? They were the Sugar Cookie scent and it came in a small bottle that had a small spoon attached. I thought that was real nice.

Our Target had some cute Pocket Trivia card sets. One was Movie Trivia, one was TV trivia, etc. These would be cute to add to the Movie Themed Baskets.

Target also had some great Dog and Cat toys. I always buy a new toy for our dogs and my MIL's dog for Christmas.

I am sure they will be cleaned out tomorrow. Normally after shopping for the must haves people shop for other things. I remember waiting line for almost one hour two years ago at Target. Forget what I bought though... :rotfl2:

I wonder what they will restock with prior to Christmas?

:flower: I just saw some Mickey playing cards (mini size). They had a few different styles.

I ran out to my Target store last weekend after I read the first post on this board to get some mini Mickey playing cards. I bought these for stocking stuffers and also bought some of the 2yr day planners that were $1 bargains.

I went to a Dollar Tree store yesterday and they have GIANT red felt stockings and I bought several of these to use instead of wrapping paper. We are flying to Orlando for Christmas and I don't want to risk having to unwrap gifts at airport security and I think these stocking will be a cute, unique way to give the gifts. The stockings are approx 3ft long by 12-18" wide. They also have some cute melmac/melamine christmas plates that would be cute to include in a gift basket with some cookies/chocolates/etc.

I always like to do stockings for people but that is a great idea so you do not have to worry with Customs.

Our Target has a section with pearl barrettes, headbands, combs, bracelets, earrings, & hair ties. They come in white, dark pink, & silver. I grabed a bunch of them for DD to wear with her dress up clothes on the cruise & they will look nice with her holiday dresses at Church.

Did anybody find any new, fun stuff in the "dollar" section at Target today? I didn't go out today and will probably check out the dollar part of Target tomorrow. I need some cheap little extras for some people.

ok it wasn't Target but it was right next door in Michael's. I was surprised to see they had a dollar section- and they had small 30 piece puzzles, mini velvet coloring cards with markers, paintbrushes, and some no-name crayon sets

that reminds me - I saw a package with 4 pkgs of 8 crayons each - Disney crayons at the Dollar Tree store.

I don't go to Target very much because its so far away. So, if I go there again, were can I find the dollar section? Is it in the back of the store usually?
Thanks for your help. :wave2:

Love the dollar bins. I have already made up a gift bag of *cookies & cream* products for a cousin and a bag of toys, games, coloring books for nephew. I also bought a co-worker a colored coded desk set with post-its and pens. Not bad for a few bucks. This is why I love Target. DH said tonight we should for fun add all our Target receipts up for a month. I said no- I just really don't want to know how much I spend in this store. In regards to Target- ignorance is bliss.

Yep - ignorance is BLISS!! My husband added up my Target purchases for a few months and he was mad and the "bliss" was gone. I no longer give him my receipts and I save my fun Target shopping days to when I'm alone :teeth:

By the way - the dollar bins in my local store are located right at the front entrance - just on the other side of the shopping cart wall.

I think my Target must have plenty of stuff because they are restocking almost everything except for the dog stuff.

I wasnt at Target but in the dollar section at Michaels, they had some really cute Christmas post-its, a 2 pk. for 1.00. Also, Mary Englebreit Christmas cards, an 8 pk. for 1.00. Michaels has a great dollar section too.
