Is anyone having trouble ordering Disney Gift cards from Target? I placed an order on Friday like I always do and got an email they were processing my order. Two minutes later I got an email that it was canceled. I didn't have time to fool with it again over the weekend and tried again today, and again it was canceled.

I called and talked to someone and she said it was because my Redcard is chip enabled and those don't work online. She said if I placed the order with another card she would manually add the 5% discount. So I tried that and it still wouldn't work. So she tried to do it on her end and then said it was because I was using a gift card as part of my payment. But my error message was in the end of the remaining balance not the part of the gift card. But I tried to do the order online without the gift card and its still telling me it can't process it. I've multiple cards of every kind, debit, credit, chip, no chip. Is anyone else having trouble?

I just tried again in a whole new browser and not entering the gift card at all and only buying 1 $50 card and it won't work with my redcard, my debit card or my non chip enabled credit card...... We leave on 10/1 and I really wanted to pick up $150 more in gift cards before we left. I was only trying to use one target gift card too. Ugh.

You can't use a target gift card to purchase a gift card ONLINE. You can do GC>GC in the store. Is there a store near you where you can go in and try to purchase with your Red card and see what happens?

I've ordered many many times online though. Is this a new policy? I just ordered some earlier this summer with GC's before I bought our MNSSHP tickets. Last year I ordered over $600 of Disney GC's online with target GC's and got the redcard discount. Its not declining the GC its just not letting me purchase at all now, even if I don't put the GC in at all.

Yes, it is a new policy. Purchasing a GC and paying with any or all of it with a GC will automatically have your order cancelled.

In early August they added a statement to the Disney gift cards online that you cannot use a Target GC to purchase it. A few weeks later, they stopped allowing Target GC to purchase Disney GC online.

Not sure why no form of payment even without the gift cards is not working online.

I do know you can purchase Disney GC with Target GC in store without issue. You can even do it at self checkout to avoid dealing with over zealous cashiers.

Its a electronic card from swagbucks so I don't know how to use that in store. I'll just try to use it to order something else online. Its just frustrating that it won't let me order at all. I ended up ordering some from Sams Club at their discount price.

I can def. understand your frustration but right when this new policy was actually being enforced people's orders were being cancelled after the fact. I'd rather it not let me purchase it rather than get my entire order cancelled. Hopefully they aren't still doing that because that would be a pain.

It was letting it go through and then canceling it after. Then it wouldn't go through at all even with no giftcard. The woman on the phone said it was because I couldn't use the chip enabled Redcard online. I did eventually order 1 $100 Disney GC through target with my Redcard. I guess I'll have to find something online to use the target GC on and in the future I'll hold out for the paypal through swagbucks.

Add the electronic GC to the Target app on your phone. You can then use it in the store. Just bring the GC up on your phone and have the cashier scan the bar code.

Two months ago I went to target a bought a bunch of $50 gift cards at 5% off using my target credit card. Maybe you should try buying them in stores.

Adding my experience to this thread - I have "churned" gift cards for quite some time now - buying discounted Target cards through Raise.com, taking those cards and entering into my Target account - since I have a Target Red card attached to that online account, I would get an additional 5% off those orders - yielding me over 10% savings. Placed an order a couple hours ago and received the confirmation email, then the follow up saying it was cancelled. Did an online chat with Target and they informed me of this change to the policy. Ugh....so bummed!

I see that some of you indicate that you have had success purchasing Disney GC's w/a Target GC in store. I wonder if anyone knows if I were to do this and make sure I have a small balance that still needs to go on the Red card if I would get the 5%??

You would only get 5% off of what you put on your RedCard, not on the whole purchase.

THIS:

You would only get 5% off of what you put on your RedCard, not on the whole purchase.

Your REDcard is not a 5% off coupon.
