Target credit card

If I fill out the application online for the card, once approved, how fast will I receive a card number in order to be able to order gift cards online? How much in gift cards will the website actually let me buy. It lets me put a large amount in my cart but will it actually let me order that much? We have bought a good many from Sam’s from the two local stores. We bought all of the $50 cards that each of them had but they haven’t restocked. They are a slightly better deal than the other card values. On Sam’s website, it will only let you put 2 of the cards in your cart. We can buy the higher value one’s from Sam’s if necessary, just got to wondering about the Target promotion.
We leave a week from Monday. Probably a no go, but just thought I would ask.

the Issue is that the credit limit will be low. Like $1000. Its been a long time since I applied but I seem to recall it was in person and you got a temporary card right there....but that was many many years ago

Hmmm...yeah, $1000 won’t do it. Probably not worth the hassle then. We have also thought about just waiting until we get there and run to Sam’s to see if they have any of the $50 cards.

I think my Target CC has my lowest credit limit. $700. I got it online but there was no CC number to use online until the physical CC arrived.

I applied a few months ago and they emailed me my card number immediately however it only had a $200 limit. My actual limit was $2,500 but I wouldn't get that limit until I received and activated my physical card.

I have the Target Debit Card. Charges come right out of your checking. I am not sure if there is a spending limit.
