Target clearance price reduction

I know there's a fairly common formula for when Target reduces their clearance items. I would like to get an electric blanket, but right now they're only marked down 30% - still $58. Of course, I want to get it for cheaper than that. I was there on Friday and again today - still 30%, but quite a few Queen sized ones were already gone.

TIA.

I was wondering the same thing. Even though we are in Florida, we like the electric blankets to cuddle with on the couch at night in the winter. Ours were also 30% off but I want to wait till it goes lower.

They typically go 30, 50, and then 70 percent off. Sometimes they start at 15 percent off. At my store, holiday stuff eventually gets to 90, but other stuff only goes to 70 percent off.

They generally reduce prices depending on inventory levels, clearance prices vary from store to store so you never know. You could try looking at another Target store around you if there is one to see if they have theirs on clearance as well.

Oh Gosh, it must be a regional thing. Because here, they were already 50% off at the two Target I frequent the most. I live within 10 miles of 3 stores, but one has become a traffice nightmare to get to so I rarely visit that one anymore. Anyway, the electric blankets were 50% off when I saw them almost 2 weeks ago. I saw everything but King sized. I was hoping that they might make it to 70% off (I guess it's no long 75%? :confused3) and I'd snag a spare!! :woohoo: As we don't really "need" one but at that price I don't mind having an extra "in stock" just in case! ;)

It sounds like I should be happy if I find one for 50% off. 70% would amazing!

So it sounds like regionally the clearance might be different. Does anyone know what day of the week that stuff changes in price????

Here's the typical schedule, although your Target may do things differently:

------- Mark Down Schedule -------
-Mon. -- Electronics, Kids Clothing, and Stationary (Cards, GiftWrap, etc.)
-Tues. -- Domestics, Women's Clothing, Pets and Market (food items)
-Wed. -- Men's Clothing, Toys, Health and Beauty, Lawn & Garden items
-Thur. -- House Wares, Lingerie, Shoes, Sporting Goods, Movies, Music, Books, Decor and Luggage
-Fri. -- Auto, Cosmetics, Hardware, & Jewelry

You can learn more by googling "target clearance rolling thunder".

Hope that helps!

We are in Oregon. Our Target clearance use to be awesome!

Now everything has changed. Things rarely ever get to 50% off. I've seen the same (stuffed!) three racks of children's clothing sitting at 30% off for MONTHS!
