Target 20% off coupon

The iTunes cards are like Xbox Live cards or PlayStation Network cards. They don't say "gift" on them anywhere, but they are stored value cards to be used for a specific purpose. iTunes cards used to be marked by the number of songs you could purchase. The inclusion on the coupon is an additional clarification, not a basis to infer the lack of other restrictions.

So by your explaination, since xbox points don't say giftcard and didn't require extra specific clarification, then those should be allowed by the coupon. Or what about prepaid phone cards. Those don't say giftcard either. I can tell you that those were not included. Point being is that when you start making specific exclusions, you open the door for different interpretations that have a valid argument. If the wording on the coupon said "not valid on all prepaid cards", this would include disney, itunes, prepaid phonecards, restaurant cards, target giftcards, etc. Then they would not need to create debatable clarifications.

I used my 20% off coupon and my Red Card and everything I had was given the discount, even the Xbox live card. I didn't think it would be included, but when I sat down with my receipt, everything on it was given the discount.

It sort of worked for me. Went to Target with my buddy. She bought $53 worth of stuff, plus we had $200 in disney cards (3 different kinds, 2 $50 cards, 2 $25 snap off cards and 2 $25 paper backed cards). Grand total before the discount was 253. Saved $23, which means it worked on $50 worth of cards. Just not sure which ones! I have another coupon that I'm going to use on Thursday
This is the only post that makes me hold out some hope. The $25 cards are hard to find, but if anyone can find some, it would be worth trying them.

didn't work in Long Island, NY

I asked to have a manager help me/override it but they said they can't!

Did not need manager over ride. They just scanned coupon and it came off. No problems.

I'm going to try one more time today.
If you don't mind, does the UPC symbol on your receipt end in 44 or 21(I'm assuming these were the $50 cards)?

You might be on to something.....the old $25 cards that snapped off may work(if you could find any).

This worked for me without a hitch in Westland Michigan. The trick is you need to grab all different types of Disney card types and sizes in the store. Some came up with discount some did not. Some cards are Entertainment Cards and Some are Gift Cards. But the manager has the option to ring it up with 20% across the board. This manager was very nice.

We were able to buy $8,000 in cards!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Do you know which ones came up with the discount? Thanks.

The coupon did not work on the $50 snap off cards with Mickey on a blue background with red trim. These say "Disney" now, rather than "Entertainment" on my receipt like they did when I purchased them last year for my trip. There were not any other Disney cards in the Covington, LA store. The manager did not go for my entertainment spiel or iTunes argument there.

I tried $25 and $50 cards and neither worked. Both say "gift card" on them so even though they used to ring up as entertainment cards I didn't want to argue the fact that they are "entertainment cards" with the manager. Oh well. I tried!

I tried today, with no luck. But I did save $75 on a pantry full of groceries...so I guessI can use that for my next trip!

Don't hold out too much hope. Went back to the same store, bought the same cards (just more of them!) and it didn't work the 2nd time. Oh well, at least I got 5% off.

Didn't work for us. Manager would absolutely not override ANY discount for the Disney cards, including my 5% pharmacy, which usually works. So, I had them take the $3000 in gift cards off the receipt and just bought my gifts and groceries.
Bummed, but at least I tried!

That's a shame about losing out on the 5% pharmacy coupon on the gift cards.

If you shop at Kroger the 4x points on gift cards is the best deal I can find - 1,000 point = over $1 off gallon off gas & $500 disney card = 2,000 points. I have heard at times Sams club will sell them but have not seen any.
