Target $10 off $40 in-store pick up purchase

Every day, I tried to order Joy Mangano hangers for my dd who is going to college. Never could get to a point that would allow me to add to cart. I tried 2 computers, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. It was a frustrating experience

I do not understand why my Target has taken out the service desk and and incorporated service in with the check out registers. Is every Target this way? The lines were not from people picking item, they were regular shoppers with their purchases.

.

My store had done this last year, but a few months ago changed it back to the old way with the service desk open. Makes life much easier.

I was kicking myself for getting all of DDs college stuff early, now I guess I am feeling OK about it. I just ordered everything on-line and had it delivered to our house.

Just wondering if this has occurred with anyone else..
What happens to the $10 if the following happens:

I placed a $43 purchase at a store where all the items available for pickup and the $10 and 5% redcard was deducted.
Several hrs later I get an email that a $7 item is no longer available and I can order from another store (don't want to do as is in opposite direction of the
1st store) or they will cancel the order in 2 days.
Will my bill be adjusted and the $10 be added back on as order is now <$40?
It was listed as being available in the store when the order was placed

The promotion ended yesterday (Saturday)

This happened to me. They just adjusted the final total so that I didn't lose the entire $10 but also didn't GET the full $10 off. So whatever percentage that product was of the total is what percentage they'll take from that $10.

I had a lot of trouble. Some of my order wasn't available at the store I chose, so I had to change some of the order to home delivery and some to another store because it couldn't be delivered to my house. Then some of the order got cancelled. Also my cart got emptied in the middle of placing the order and I had to start all over again.

I went to one store to pick up and it took forever. then the guy comes back carrying the items in his hands. I had to ask for bags and then he had to go back to get the rest of the items (I guess he couldn't carry it all). Now my husband has to stop at the other store on his way home from work. I hope he has better luck then I did.

Ugh! Bordering on not worth it :faint:

I placed an order last night for a backpack DD wanted, and laundry detergent just because I needed it (a single container, not part of the gift card deal lots of folks are trying to work). It took awhile to work around all of the website issues, but eventually I got the order placed. I received the $10 off $40 the order, plus my redcard discount PLUS I had 2 pharmacy reward online coupons that I used.

So, not a fabulous ordering experience but I got the job done. But of course it couldn't have gone smoothly from there! I got a notice that the backpack was ready for pickup this morning, but the laundry detergent was out of stock. My options were to pick it up at a different store 15 miles from where the backpack was, cancel the item and lose the $10 because my order would now be below $40, or cancel both items and replace the order at the second store but then I would lose the 10% pharmacy rewards I had used because they were one-time use coupons

I chose what I felt the lesser of those 3 evils, and elected to pick up the laundry detergent up at the 2nd store. But when I did that, the lovely Target system decided I needed to pay extra sales tax - more than 1% more on the total order. The two stores are in the same city and county, same as my home address, and I KNOW they all have the exact same sales tax rate, so I'm not sure why the heck the system decided I suddenly had to pay extra.:confused3 At this point, that was the straw that broke the camel's back and I was FED UP with the whole fiasco and called customer service. 20 minutes on hold. :rolleyes1 Oye. But at least the person I got understood the problem, cancelled the first order, placed the second order for me (because by now the system was erroring whenever you tried to locate a store again!), and manually gave me the extra 10% discount to recoup my lost pharmacy rewards. In all, it took me close to 25 minutes working with the agent to get it done (on top of the 20 minutes on hold).

Not a fun experience to say the least :sad2:

My experience was very similar to all of you. Placed an order last night. Super happy to get tax free (ended yesterday) and $10 off $40 (ended yesterday too). I realize this am that they sent an email last night saying most of my items are not available. Ugh! I don't think I'll be using this service again!

This also happened to me on a few items as Target does not keep a live inventory ! They gave me a $20 Target gift card! I used it to buy a $50 Disney gift card for $28.50 (5%):rotfl2::cool1::thumbsup2

I had initial issues with the website and placing the order for pick-up. Tried a few times during the morning and it finally went through.

From there I had no issues whatsoever. Got the e-mail in less than an hour that it was ready. Went in and picked it right up at the service desk and was out the door in the matter of minutes.

I am still having trouble with this whole thing. I was supposed to get 3 $5 gift cards from items I bought. Guess what? I was charged for one of the gift cards :confused3 and the other two were taken off my order. I called about it and was told they charge for the GC and then credit the order, but since my order was split and charged separately I have no idea if this is true or not. Then I mentioned the two GC that were no longer there and the costumer representative begrudgingly give me a $10 GC which I now see they charged me for:eek: I am so frustrated.

I don't think I will be shopping target on line any time soon

Can I say pick up for the third set of items went much smoother this time around. I went to the store last night to pick up the jeans and lo and behold, the boy behind the counter got the items for me in one minute, bagged them and handed them over in just a few seconds. No scrambling, no grumbling, no need to ask for a bag. It went very well.

I just have to say that I did the promo 3 times last week and it went very well. No problem getting the order when I picked up (although the first three checkout lanes looked like some crazy warzone). One order did have an item out of stock. I certainly didn't want to run to another store so I simply canceled the item and still got the prorated portion of the $10 taken off the order.

Getting on the website to place the orders was tougher, but I found later at night it worked fine. It seems that we were live testing their system and they need to add more daytime capacity. For $30, I'm happy to be their live tester and got some early Christmas presents!

I did the $20 back on two boxes of Pampers Swaddlers deal with the ship to store $10 offer. It was such a pain. First they couldn't find my stuff, then they gave me the wrong size for one of the diaper boxes. Then they argued with me that I should take the wrong size. Finally they substituted out a slightly larger box with the correct size. Then they couldn't get it to work right when scanning. The girl at customer service shoved the second box at me and said, "it's free, just take it."

I was pissed, but when my receipt was emailed to me I was truly only charged for one box and I still received the $20 gift card somehow. So over 300 diapers for $12 after gift card. I'll take it! :cool1:
