Target $10 gc with $50 purchase coupon

Was not able to buy a Disney GC today. Cashier pointed out it said no gc's. I said I thought only Target gc's she replied no ALL cc's

She was incorrect. If that happens again, politely ask them to check with a manager.

Yes we did that tonight after purchasing 5 Disney cards and getting $50 in Target gcs. We purchased another $50 Disney gc using the Target ones

Went into Target last night bought 4 $50 Disney cards. I asked the cashier if there was the deal about purchasing $50 and getting a $10 Target card.. She said yes .. I didn't have a coupon.. She said I needed to purchase each card individually. No problem.. Only ****oo on my part was my DD purchased my other items as I was getting the GC organized.. and our merchandise purchases were $44.. If i though fast enough I should have bought a few sodas to get to $50. I was so thrilled with the thought of being able to get the Disney cards and get the Target gc's What a deal.
Returned to the store today again realized I had another gift to purchase.. I bought a Starbucks $25 card and movie along with another $50 Disney card.. I asked the cashier about the GC's and she said oh yes.. $59 purchase gets you a $10 Target card.. Never once was there a question of my purchasing GC's or not using a coupon...
All I can say is.. Target ROCKS!

I'm hoping. I'm Christmas shopping with this promo (stocked up on Disney gift cards back in Nov with an extra 5% off plus the Red card discount) and I'm not done. Was too tired to go last night and pick up a few items...

Thank disssers, used my coupons yesterday. Total of Christmas presents was 147 w/o tax. Between my gift cards and the coupons I got in the mail from target and 5% discount on my husband's red card. My out of pocket cost was 66.75 w/ tax. I like target so much more than Kohl's.

Thank you again to the original poster about this. Target definitely got my friends money and mine this week. We are planning a trip in Jan and I sent 5 of my friends to Target to buy cards for their theme park tickets, I also bought enough to cover out hotel, and we bought some for spending money. Not only did target get our money for the cards, I had to go shopping this weekend for less fortunate families for our work toy drive with the money we had donated and I choose to spend the $500 at target so I could make the most of the money. I know some people think that the promo was abused and this wasn't what target wanted but together we spent over $3,000 there when we weren't planning on spending a dime there. I think Target would be happy about that!

I would not worry about abuse of this coupon and Target not being ok with it. I have heard several reports from other people about cashiers giving back the coupon and saying it can be used again. I have heard people say their cashier had a stack of them at the cash register and was handing them out to people. I also know the barcode is the same on every coupon so it is not specific use tied to one email or one family. Hope we get another one for next weekend!

I won't feel weird at all. I have read that many people buy the gift cards one at a time as a way of saving toward their vacation.

No! I used a ton (45-50?) of GCs the past year paying for our reservation, and I took about $900 worth with us. I used them for tips, souvenirs, etc. Mine were also in $25 - 50 increments...every single one of them.

Good tip! Thanks everyone - feel better now. We are going in two weeks - first time for the kids - so all of us r super excited. Last thing I wanted was to have a problem with these. We r going to use them to buy 4 day park tickets - and give some to the kids as spending money.

I buy a Disney GC every time I go to Target (2-3 times a month). In my mind it helps offset the cost of our trips by buying them monthly rather than one huge lump! My Targets no longer sell the $25 cards, only the $50 cards now. Over the last few days, I was able to get $750 in cards.

DVC dues and passes are now paid for in gift cards! Got to love Target!

I used about $1200 in Disney gift cards, increments of $25-75 to pay for 2 premier passports (good at WDW and DLR) in May of this year. It took a while, but the savings (either getting them with this coupon or at the grocery store with the 4x rewards for gas rewards) was worth it.

EDIT: The rest of the Premier Passports was paid for with the Disney Rewards we had accumulated!
