When we were in Manchester this weekend Dad and I cam across Taps Bar and Restaurant, which claims to be the first venue in the UK where you can pour your own pint. Basically there are beer pumps at each table which are activated for 2 pints at a time. Once you have poured your 2 pints a server will come round and, if they don't think you have had too much, they will activate the pumps for another 2 pints. I've no idea what the prices are but they charge by the tenth of a pint so you don't have to have a full pint if you don't want to. You can see the pumps in a picture on the website.
The concept sounds good but I wondered if anybody here had actually been in Taps, or anywhere similar, and seen how it actually works in practice?
