Can anyone help? I have a show saved on my DVR and want to tape to a VHS tape. I have a VHS player already hooked up to the tv.

Thanks!

basically you have to have things set up like this:

DVR->VCR->TV

another words the the dvr signal has to run through the VCR before the tv

Thanks, but everything is hooked up already - I just forgot what buttons to press to record onto a VHS tape :-(

Oh my, a VCR? Well at least you have a DVR also, but get rid of that antique and get a DVD recorder or something. One of my gf's mom recorded a special about Disney on VHS, I don't think I was too popular when I said I wanted to record it to DVD 1st before I watched it(I was totally kidding of course).

Anyways, look for a red circle and that is probably the button you need to push to start recording.

But as "TwinsinCA" kind of eluded to below, I don't think you are going to have much luck accomplishing this.

Good Luck!

Please let us know if it actually works. That is how I have mine set up and basically my main VCR has been rendered useless since we got a DVR. I am unable to tape live TV much less anything from the DVR. I get a muddled B&W picture that goes in and out -- almost like there is a copyguard at work.

I was so excited to finally get a DVR and assumed I'd be able to save some things to a tape so that the DVR doesn't get filled up. Now I'm stuck taping anything I know I want to save on our upstairs TV. :headache:

The TV I have the DVR hooked up to is also hooked to a VHS/DVD player.

In another room, I have a DVD recorder.

Just a couple weeks ago, I figured out how to tape a DVR recorded show onto a VHS tape which I then copied to a DVD....I remember it was very easy but I already forgot how I did it! I'm going to keep trying and if I do figure it out, I will definitely write down how I did it!
