Hi, me and my 2 DD aged 2 and 4 are off for our first trip next Sat on 8th, staying at Newport Bay for 3 nights on Admirals Floor. Can't Wait!!

I have a couple of questions, I hope that someone can help me with ;)

1 Can you drink the tap water in the hotels from the room? I am not really mean or anything but just wondered!!

2 When will the new parade and times be updated, I have been looking on the DLRP Magic Website and the current guide only runs up to today. I want to plan my route according the the parades and character meet times ect??

3 Is is worth planning a detailed route of where you are going at which times? or is it a wasted exercise?

Hope you can help me
Catherine

Hi Catherine, welcome to the board.

It is not advisable to drink direct from the taps in the hotel rooms as the water is not drinking water - a bit like the water in the bathroom at home. We have boiled this water to make tea with no problems, though. You can get drinking water at breakfast from the machines and I expect many people fill up small water bottles from there to last them the day. Otherwise you can bring bottled water from home (if you are driving) or buy it there - either from the shop at the train station or the garage next to the Santa Fe hotel. Both of these options would be much cheaper than buying it from the Park.

The parade times don't usually change much at this time of year, but keep looking on the official site or DLRP Magic for an update.

I find it best to have a plan of what we want to do, but not be rigid about sticking to it. Especially with young children like yours, you need to go with the flow a bit, but have a basic idea of where you want to be at what time.

I expect you're all very excited now your trip is so close. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Hi Catherine and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

There are water fountains throughout the park that others have refilled water bottles from.
As we don't enjoy the taste we load up with bottled water :)

With your little ones plan some time to use Extra Magic Hour (EMH) so that you can get into the park early. This will ensure you get a head start on a lot of the rides in Fantasyland :goodvibes

I am very picky about my water and only drink bottled purified water at home. What kind of bottled water is sold at the train station, in Disney, etc? And how much does it generally cost?

I stay away from "srping water" like Evian, etc. and don't do sparkling mineral water, either. At home, we have Aquafina or Dasani as purified brands (plus a few others.) If Disneyland Paris serves Coke products, I"m guessing they have Dasani?

In the parks it will be Vittel or Aquarel. I have never seen Dasani water in France, Coke may have pulled it from France like they did in the UK.

I think it is about 2 Euros a bottle in the parks.

Hi OP,

I don't think the parades, shows etc times will change from the ones you can see on the official Disney site, and on DLRP Magic, between now and when you go. So you'll be able to use that information to help plan your trip.

I know I always want to see the OUAD parade, Caseys Character Express at least once, Candleabration at least once, the Lion King show if we have time, and also Animagique and/or Cinemagique in the Studios. So I plan around those, over the 3 days that I'm there. Also, if there are Princess meet n greets I'll try to plan for 1 or 2 of those (but I detest queueing for long, so tend to only hang about for those if we're already in the park for EMH).

I don't plan a route around the parks though, they're not that big to be honest. A rough idea of maybe half a dozen things you all want to see/do every day, and the rest of the time, go where the Mouse takes you :rotfl: !

Enjoy,

Elaine

Hi Catherine and welcome :)

I personally would stick to the bottled water :)

The best plan is to head to the rides you want to do first and that way the queues will be shorter :)

Hope you have a fantastic trip :)

Thanks for the info! I looked them up and Vittel is mineral water and Aquarel is spring water. Neither are my first choice.

Does anyone know if there is such a thing a purified bottled water in France? I'm looking specifically for water that is purified using "reverse osmosis."

Thanks everyone for your advice and tips, you are very helpful!!

Can't wait now - only 6 sleeps to go!!

I am picky about my water not having any taste and I have to say the Vittel is really good. The 2 brands named above are the only ones I have ever seen in the park so you may want to bring your kind from home (if you aren't flying of course) I have even drank the water from the fountains in the park and find their taste not offensive. Sorry not much help as I am only familiar in DLP not the surrounding area.

Hope you have a fabulous holiday CathGentry :thumbsup2

The NPB is my favourite hotel, hope you like it too and we thought the Admirals' Floor well worth the small extra charge.:)
