Tangierine Cafe...yay or nay?

Good to hear, OP! I was popping in here to give a BIG "Yay" but you've already found out yourself that Tangierine is great! I will say we have experienced very unfriendly service there on occasion...

I LOVE tangerine cafe. The food was very good. I recommend this to anyone going to Disney.

We ate at TC on 11/23, all 8 of us and it was just as good as always. Most of us had the Schwarma Platter, I love it, it cam nice and hot. One of our vegan friends had the falafel wrap and she said it was the best lunch she'd had at any of the parks she'd visited. Our "picky eater, we love you, but you're a pain" was coerced into trying the meatballs and rice platter and low and behold she ate them! I had never tried them either and I must say they are pretty tasty! It was a beautiful sunny day, we pooled together 2 tables and ate without being rushed! Fantastic lunch at Epcot!

like it for a chance to try a different style of flavor...then usually head over to france for dessert.

Ditto! Had Cafe au lait & a creme brulee from France after lunch, and oh I had an Italian margarita to start it all!

Love Epcot!

Yay from our family too. we have eaten there three times now and have had two very good meals and one not so good.
I actually have a funny story from our last trip there. We had the regular dining plan and got the schwarma platter with baclava (sp?)for dessert (which came with the meal). Our DS is allergic to nuts so DW attempted to give the dessert away to twp men sitting at a table nearby.
The man looked at DW like she had three heads and Minnie ears growing out her head until she explained DS has a nut allergy and we couldn't eat it.
The man, looked sternly at DW, called a waiter over and told him to allow DW to get "whatever she wants for dessert."
Apparently, he was an owner or manager of the restaurant and he gave her dessert for all the kids, not just DS. Then he told her to come to him if she needed anything else. Just one of our magical moments from our last trip:)

Thanks! We are going in late Nov so I don't think the lack of a/c will be a problem I can't wait to try it!

I give it a big YEA. In fact, I have found this place to be better than several of the TS restaurants I have been to in WDW. :thumbsup2

I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this place, but I didn't. I didn't hate it, but I didn't really like it either.

I got the shawarma platter - the meats and the bread were both dried out. Also, I'm allergic to nuts, so the only dessert option they had available, the baklava, wasn't one I could eat. (my allergy wasn't a factor on my dislike though - I did know about the baklava going in) The hummus and the couscous were mehhhh - I've had better, I've had worse.

Yes, I have had Middle Eastern food before; I just didn't feel it was well done here.

Just my .02 :hippie:

I also like this CS Restaurant, :) and I'm a fussy eater.

We eat a lot of Middle Eastern food (half our family is Arabic), we have a couple of excellent Lebanese restaurants within a couple of hours of us, & have had wonderful couscous prepared for us by friends that lived in Morocco for several years. The food at TC was a major disappointment. The shawarma was more like pressed chicken/meat than the real thing; I ate < 1/2 of my platter & was burping for several hours afterward (sorry for the vulgarity); we actually changed our Candlelight Processional pkg to Rose & Crown (which was great) from Marrakesh after our lunch at TC.
