Tangaroa Terrace is it really that bad???

I have been reading on disneyfood blog and this restraunt has not got any good reviews??? I am not sure what to think? My family and I are looking forward to our trip and want to try this restraunt. What do you guys think???

We ate there on Friday AND Saturday! Friday night our group had the cheeseburger, the Hawaiian cheeseburger, the kids salmon, chicken breast, kalua pork flatbread. Everything was pretty good. I liked the flatbread best. On Saturday we ate while poolside. The turkey sandwich in the case was surprisingly good. We had also the sampler plate which was very good.

Remember on these blogs it's just the opinion of of person. We were a group of 9 and nobody had any reservations about eating there a second time the next day.

I haven't read any reviews, but can give you mine- The food is good, the atmosphere is fun! I love the outside dining area. The chef when I've been there has been from Steakhouse 55 and was open to any requests we had for our meal. My only complaint was the sweet potato fries rather than 'real' fries, but anticipate they'll fix that. The bbq flatbread is my favorite.

Is the flat bread too filling for one person? Trying to figure out how big it is. I wish they would get reg fries too. Seems odd that they wouldn't give you a choice. Especially for kids.

Maybe I was starving, but I did eat it all. It's pretty thin. The pork was really tender. I wanted to jet over there for dinner tonight but after checking Twitter and seeing crowd pics of the overall resort decided against it.

I like the sweet potato fries. They are great at hungry bear and seem to be a healthier option so I'm not sure those are going anywhere. Unless they are different at that location which would be odd. Anyway, I have only heard good things about it and I think you'll enjoy it. Let us know what you think about it
