Tampered post?!

Ummm, I was reviewing my trip report for errors a day after I posted the last installment, and there is this: placed where I wrote about a family dance party. Now, I actually like it there, but I did not put it there. Can someone just add something to your post? I'm feeling a little violated--with violated being too strong of a word. Is there some rogue emoticon inserter somewhere?

I would guess you inadvertently put the emoticon in yourself without realizing it. That emoticon is entered either by clicking on it within the list of smilies, or using the code. The code which consists of the word "party" immediately followed by a colon ":" It appears that you typed a heading for a picture which you labeled "Making the kids go to Diversions for a family dance party" and ended that with a colon (such as you did for the picture above that labeled "Hanging out on Deck 4:")

OK. Weird though. I must have just typed the code because I KNOW I didn't click on it. A mistake that works out.

Yep, just typing the code enters it, and you wouldn't have seen it before posting unless you clicked "Preview..." to take a second look prior to actually posting. Most of the smilies have colons on either size of the code word, but there are a few with just one colon; it's caught me before as well.
