Tammy & Randy's Wishes VR:7/14/10~WP/Napa/France-PROF PICS!!!!!

It looks really good! I really like the idea of using different center pieces. It adds a bit more to the room I feel.

Val thanks, :goodvibes its a work in progress but a start.... I only plan on having four tables along with a sweetheart table so not alot of centerpieces to do so I can have some fun "creating" them..... My plan is that each table will have a different colored centerpiece (movie title /theme), will see how that comes together. Thanks for reading:goodvibes

Tammy -- That is such a cool idea! I agree that with fewer tables to manage, we can be a bit more creative and not so constrained by a budget. We also have 4 guest tables and a sweetheart table, but we are using our aisle floral from the wedding pavilion for our guest tables & the altar piece for the sweetheart table. Are you thinking of coordinating the linen colors with the theming, as well?

Cam, I am glad you like the idea.I plan just to add a splash of coordinating linen color, like napkins and/or table runner etc. sort of what you had in mind for DP. The other colors I have in mind are light blue for Cinderella, green for jungle book and orange for toy story. I want it to look nice and FUN, not empty but trying to conserve $ where I can for other things.... :goodvibes

Tammy -- I LOVE the ideas for colors. You'll have 3 "brights" -- orange, red & green and one kind of pastel -- Cinderella blue. Have you thought yet about what color you'd use for the sweetheart table? Or are you thinking of doing the pastel blue for the sweetheart table and another "bright" for your fourth guest table?

Cam, Still deciding on that... my youngest DD favorite movie is cinderella so she wants that to be a guest table.... I plan on having some other lighter colors too here and there:goodvibes

I have been working on centerpiece idea for cinderella table along the lines of the POTC posted above. This would be clear container filled light blue (?- right now tiussue paper)then I added a styrofoam pumpkin 3/4 around outside bottom of container with glass slipper in front.( sort of hard to picture, I know...) Then put silk white roses with light blue and white carnations in the container/vase. I have a light blue frame w/ table card and would use lightblue overlay linens (napkins/runner).I am looking for a silver star wand to add with florals. will post a pic soon....

The mickey spinners came- they play music too as well as light up!!! That was a surprise ! Here is the pic of possible cinderella table centerpiece- still in the works mind you. I can't find my envisioned star wand so I just made a crystal one to get an idea of what it might look like in the end.....thoughts, suggestions? Its hard to see the glass slipper at the base. Thanks for reading!:goodvibes

I think this is such a cute idea to have all different centerpieces with all different movies! :) I love this one. Very elegant!

My oldest DD wants a "traditional type" BM bouquet so this is what I have so far for hers....Its smaller than mine and will have different ribbons
momsarahflorals003.jpg

my youngest DD wants a "mickey" shaped pomander, similar to what another dis bride had for her BM. I am working on that...Thats all for now,Thanks for reading:goodvibes

Everything looks great so far. Love those Mickey spinners - I have to ask you where you got them? I might consider them for our dessert party.

Linda

I love the idea of different movies themes for your tables. That will look great! Your bouquets are really pretty. I love the colors. :thumbsup2

Tammy -- LOVE the Cinderella centerpiece. What a clever idea to use the pumpkin! I bet you'd find a wand very inexpensively after Halloween. The flowers look gorgeous. Oh, and please tell us where you found the Mickey spinners. I'd love to find them for the kids at our DP (as long as they turn the music off when WISHES starts. ;) ).

Toni, Thankyou for the feedback about the bouquets,I appreciate it. A picture you had posted was so pretty and I have never done anything with flowers(silk or real before). I am glad you like them, I was happy with how they have turned out. The movie themes for the tables was a spur of the moment idea but I tried to choose movies that "fit" our guest list and something FUN! Thanks for reading:goodvibes

Cam, you are so sweet. I am never quite sure if I should keep posting everything I do or not- sort of like tooting your own horn per se(I don't normally do that) but it helps knowing others do read and seem to enjoy the plans and projects. I am having fun with it all! The pumpkin took alittle doing(more then I thought it would) and I had actually wanted one alittle bigger. I am hoping to still find the star wand I am searching for around halloween:goodvibes.
I am pleased with the flowers, all have come from walmart and most on clearance, so saved $ there too. They came together pretty easily too and I like the way they look.
I sent you a pm about the mickey spinners, but check soon because I know I had to WAIT to order because they were out of stock!:scared1: They ship fast though. DDs and DH really liked them.:goodvibes good luck!

Sorry..girl. I forgot to check up on those sizes for you!
We checked into Michaels, but neither me or my sister could remember the size. I am pretty sure you got it figured out though..there weren't to many to choose from!

They look great so far! We used a shear ribbon on ours so that we weren't trying to match color so much..if that helps.. it was yellow.. but much more subtle than a solid one would have been!

Let me know if you need anything else!
Was hydrangea what you used? We just plucked tons of hydrangea and pinned the individual petals down? Looks pretty similar...

Carly,:wave2:That s OK, thanks for offering . I gave it a try. Yes, I used hydrangea and roses. I hot glued mine though its seems to hold. There weren't many sizes so I guessed at what there was to choose from at walmart. The ears spacing needs adjusting etc. My DD likes it , she says it is poofy. Thanks.:goodvibes

Tried some sheer ribbon for the loop for the mickey pomander and its does look better than a solid ribbon, so I think thats what I will use.(thanks Carly, I never would have tried a sheer ribbon):goodvibes
One of my table decorations yet to be created was going to be a Toy story table, Toy story 3 is suppose to be released mid june of 2010 so I may use that. I thought that would be kind of cool. Thanks for reading....
