This is the designer of the 'grid paper' system. Each kit was two pages and cost just under $12. I looked at them and thought - I could do that with my cricut, but then on second thought, why fiddle with it? So I bought 'em.

They went together quickly since all the pieces were lazer cut. Hopefully the pages were just sufficiently different to jerk me out of my comfy rut. Do y'all have ruts? Your favorite way to climb out? And how do you feel about buying page kits?

Those look very nice.

I don't scrap often, so there isn't a rut for me to be in. :lmao: I just make swap items.

Those are great, Linda!

I got those same 2 kits free as a door prize at CKC I used one in my DsD's graduation album as an overview of one of our Disney trips, and I still have the other one to use in the future. It was really fun to put together and I really liked the blocking technique. I even wrote down the measurements so I could recreate it later.

I like them. I like easy soemtimes. Where did you get them. I would like to get a few of those.

Would you send me the measurements when you get a chance?
Thank you. :flower3:

Yup - I knew exactly where I put my notes.

I only did the top layout so far, the 2nd is still in its packaging, so I didn't measure that yet.

The small red and black squares are all 1 inch squares.
The horizontal 3-mickey head boxes are 3.25 x 1
The 2008 Mickey head box is 2 1/8 inch square

Since my pages were handy in photobucket, here's my take on the kit:

To answer another question - you can find the page kits here: http://www.snapncrop.com/Page-Kits_c_7.html. Tami Potter does the whole mosaic layout thing with the grid paper and special mat, ruler, etc. I never wanted to make the investment on that, and you don't need to to use her page kits.

Sorry to take over your thread, Linda! To go back to your original question - I don't generally buy page kits - I worry that I won't have the right photos in the right orientation to go with it. This one was good because you actually have to do some work to put it together, but I don't generally like the page kits where they're complete and all you do is slap the photos on -that's kind of taking away most of the fun of scrapping.

I'm not sure about ruts - I take a lot of inspiration from scrappers here and I usually try to incorporate a new product or technique when I'm feeling like all my pages are the same.

Great layouts! I generally don't use page kits either for the same reason, I'm afraid I won't have pictures the right size ro orientation.

I frequently get in a rut. To get out of it I try to start working on a different project and look to the challenges for new ideas.

NEE, is that your DsD at Prime Time with her nose on the wall? Did she not eat all her veggies or try to hide them? They brought DH's green beans back to him with whipped cream and sprinkles for his dessert because he didn't eat them. AND he kept putting his elbows on the table. Good times, good times. :thumbsup2

OMG! We'd never be able to go to Prime Time.. my boys are not veggie eaters... we'd be in punishment for days and days and days!!!!

Great pages... I'm gonna have to left those...they could be used w/ some adjustments for so many other pages!!! LOVE IT!!!

Thanks NEE for the measurements!!!

I LOVE page kits and those LO's look great! Since I print my own pictures, I can photoshop them to be any size they need to be for the LO.

Page kits definitely jump start my scrapping!

Those look great - sometimes paying for a shortcut helps with the inspiration.

She got in trouble for "throwing soda." I don't even know what that means - I think she was spraying soda at her younger sister through her straw. On our first visit there, the youngest got in trouble for not using her beverage napkin and had to stand to stand in the middle of the restaurant while everyone wagged their finger and yelled, "Momma doesn't like naughty girls," which she had never gotten over, so she was determined to have her older sister get in trouble this trip. She was antagonizing her and doing everything possible to make her do something wrong, and when she finally did spit her soda at her, youngest was so quick to report her to the waitress. I thought it might backfire on her and have youngest get in trouble for tattling, but she was in luck and big sis got the punishment of having to hold a packet of sugar up against the doorframe with her nose.

Hysterical! Aren't the stories behind the photos just THE best?

Thanks for the measurements - you just saved me some work. I could see lots of applications for the same - in effect -page map.

I have to say having the grid paper made it dead easy to get the layout straight, though. And I loved the laser cut date - although your stickers look just as nice.
