Tallahassee Area Residents, Please Help.

My DH may be transferred to NW Florida. Can anyone tell me anything about the area. He would be working in the Hosford area. I have noticed that houses are much more expensive in Tallahassee than other places. Are there nice suburbs with newer houses? We are in the middle income range. Thanks in advance for any info that you can give!

We live in Thomasville, Ga which is about 30 miles from Tallahassee. I'll have to find Hosford because I'm not familiar with that area. Let me look and I'll see if I can help.
