Tall order (AK + fireworks)

So. We will be at AK on 5/17, park closes at 8pm. One day trip, no overnight.
I would really like my son to see some fireworks if possible before we head home, so I wanted to hop over to Poly and watch them from the beach. If I take a bus over there after AK closes, I won't be able to take a bus back to my car, right?
So where should I park?

To complicate matters, I'm trying to get in at rope drop at AK also.
I planned an 815 arrival at AK in order to accomplish this.

So... alternate return option?
Alternate parking?
Alternate firework location? (Wishes is @10).

After you're finished at AK, just drive over to the TTC and park there.

Yep. Drive to AK, then drive to TTC and walk to the Poly from there. Or make a dinner reservation at the Poly and park there.

You could take the Resort Monorail to MK & get a bus to AK there, even after AK is closed.

But driving to TTC would get you on the way home more quickly, and you won't be dealing with the post-fireworks crowds at the MK bus area.

I thought using Disney transportation would be less crazy than trying to drive it.

What if I Park at the Poly? Parking at TTC seems counter productive for our rope drop plans.....

AK is open that day for EMH at 8AM. If you're not staying on property, you won't be beating any crowds by getting there at 8:15AM for a 9AM opening...

I'm not really trying to beat any crowds, there's just a lot we want to do in one day, so in order to get it all done I think we need to be walking in at 9.
I figured :45 was reasonable to find parking, get everything settled into the stroller, and make our way over to the gate. I've never been to AK. Should I adjust my arrival time?

I don't think you need to adjust your arrival time - I just wanted you to know that it's AM EMH for onsite hotel guests. 8:15 should be fine for you to get to the gate for 9AM opening. Have a great time - there's so much to see and do!

Yes, because MK is open until midnight.

Buses may not be running to AK regularly by then, but Transportation CM's working the load zones will see that you get back to your car. You may be placed on a bus that stops somewhere else before dropping you at AK.
