Talk to me about Indiana Jones Adventure

It is definitely a must do in my book! We took my daughter on it when she was just barely tall enough, and I thought she would HATE it. She's scared of everything and it seemed like it would be something she freaked out on. But she wanted to try, so little sis and dad hit the Tiki Room while I went with her. She LOVED it. Now one of her favorite rides and a multi-ride favorite on every trip. Give it a shot and see, it's totally worth it!

I went on this ride escorting about 7 octogenarians (oh, it was glorious, half were in wheelchairs and required equally adventurous grandchildren pushing them through the exit lane and through the queue).

I sat in the back observing them, about 2 mins into the ride (after choosing your door) as we swiftly rounded the corner, I prayed to every deity imaginable that none of them a) have a heart attack or b) throw out their backs on this ride. I actually started to panic because I was sort of in charge. To be fair, they asked to go on this ride and I had warned them it would be bumpy/fast.

Alas, the ride ended, everyone was okay. No broken bones or cardiac issues. Their hunched over bodies exited the ride vehicle slowly and then we went on our way.

So, my advice, single rider line it while not-yet-tall-enough kid hangs out at Bengal BBQ :earsboy:

Seconding single rider, as even the fast pass line is usually 20 minutes. I imagine two people could get through single rider in under 30 minutes total (still a good amount of walking)

This past July was my family's first trip to DL, and Indy was the family favorite! I think we rode it at least 4 times in 2 days! Ride it! Super fun! Amazing details!

I wish we had one at WDW! :-)

I've read that one of the lines (single rider?) is confusing to navigate. Would a person who once got so lost driving in a straight line for two miles that she wound up in another town be likely to get turned around? Asking for a friend....

I have been on this ride many times over the years and cannot for the life of me figure out how anyone would get lost in the line.

You haven’t met me 😂

I have a horrible sense of direction if that helps lol. You won't get lost in the line. If the park isn't too crazy busy I recommend the regular line since you will see somuch more of the queue. It really is a cool one.

Does FP use the regular line? Right now I’m leaning toward getting two FPS at different times that work for us. I have heard the queue is awesome and I’d hate to miss it in an elevator.

Fastpass skips some of the line, but still you will see more of the line than what is being described for the child swap (if I am understanding the child swap description properly).

If you do ride it, request to be seated in the middle of the ride. The jerks, spins, & dips are not as bad seated in the middle of the ride. :car:

And the front seats are less jerky than the back. I suspect that's because the motions pivot more around the front of the car than the rear. Although I know the whole vehicle can move at any angle, its seems to be less up front. And I've had CMs tell me that too.

If you enjoy Dinosaur @ AK, don't ride Indiana Jones. It will destroy Dinosaur for you forever.

I always wear ear plugs, even for the queue. If you and/or your son are sensitive to loud noises, ear plugs or headphones can help.

Our last trip my going deaf noise sensitive husband wore ear plugs and claimed he could actually hear everything on the ride so much better so the rest (6) of us went ahead and got ear plugs as well and sure enough the sound was so much better, we could actually understand Indy, it was amazing. I don't know why they've upped the volume so much on all the rides it's impossible to enjoy since the sound's so distorted but I will definitely consider ear plugs a must for any future trips... the downside is that it's hard to hear any special instructions from the CMs but my husband struggled with that anyway.
